Are you serious? That sux!! All that means is that they won't be playing any full blown concerts. Man, this is shit, that's all it is!

They're playing 2 gigs in the UK, but will still be coming back next year for the world tour. Don't be so sure they won't return to Australia!!

Hey Christo, don't be so negative.

We'd all prefer a real tour, but this is better than nothing and hopefully they'll include us in their next world tour.

Think positive!

Ok, now that I've take some time to think about it, I guess there is a slight chance they will return for an actual tour this summer, albeit slight.

I just don't think that rocking up for what I believe to be a half-arsed festival is going to really satisfy the real die-hard Bon Jovi fans in this country if ,in fact, that is all they are going to do this time around. They did this last year too, remember?

We were snubbed on the Crush Tour, we got a 3/4 gig last year after 10,000 support bands, so if this is all they are going to do in Australia during this entire 'Bounce' tour period, I just don't think it's good enough.

Christo i'm behind your original post one hundred percent...
and it almost kills me to say so.

I must say, i am feeling mighty ripped off. Firstly we don't see the boys on the Crush tour, credit where credit is due for doing what they did for the Releif appeal concert, well done boys, that being said, they still missed this enitre nation(that melb concert was not considered part of the tour).. now i don't know what anyone else thinks , but i think its been a long time between drinks... Last they were here together was 1995 (Nov 18th to be precise, in sydney, gawd i still remember the stinking hot, then pouring down rain eastern creek concert!) thats 7 yrs ago... and (soon to be) 2 albums ago..

since i heard that they were back in the studio for Bounce, i have been beside myself with anticipation, ringing the radio station asking when they are playing "Everyday" next, just so i don't miss it.. (Nova FM-Sydney must be sick of me by now!).. then i hear that they are doing Rumba this year...

well great, near enuf one hundred bucks to go and stand with a trillion teeny boppers all day, just to see the boys do what, six songs maybe?

it makes me so damn mad and so friggen upset at the same time. i feel that the boys are not giving back to the fans in this case... Trully, if they *neeed* to do a show like this surely M-One would have been more appropriate (and i'm not condoning that either).. i'm just wondering how many other die hard fans would be lining up to see any of the other acts in Rumba? totally diferent genre.. seems pitched at the younger crowd to me.. who have bought maybe one BJ album in their 15yo lives...

Is it wrong to want a fully fledged concert? Is it wrong to want to see your favourite band play for 1.5- 2hrs and listen to song after song that moves you in unspeakable ways? i think not.. instead i have the choice of swarming with the minions, and forking out (in my case, in excess of ) $100. (i have a gig on the day that rumba is in Sydney, so i would have to fly to Bris or Melb..... which wouldn't worry me, if the boys did a full concert, if this was the case i will be at the Sydney AND Bris or Melb concert, i made that decision 3 mths ago)

Meegs- nice comforting words,,,, maybe they will include us in the NEXT world tour... but i ask, how many do we have to miss out on first? are we not deserving of them here??

As far as i am concerned, Frontier Touring needs a rocket shoved fair up there azz's

I think i will not see rumba, and i know in years to come i will regret it, but i just feel too ripped off

Trying To KTF,
Troy

Guys, you are totally depressing me. I was so psyched that Bon Jovi were heading our way again.

No, I have absolutely no interest in seeing any other band at Rumba. Yes I will still sit through every one of them so I can see Bon Jovi. Yes I would totally prefer a real tour. Yes I'm still really peeved that we missed out on the last tour...

But I was trying to be positive.... now I feel like I'll never get to go to a real Bon Jovi concert again.

With Solo tours and the Universal Appeal Concert to tide me over, I had forgotten how long it had actually been since a real tour. Wow, 1995... that was ages ago..... WHAT CAN WE DO TO CHANGE THIS SITUATION????

Maybe a petition? I need to sleep now, but this petition idea is growing on me. I Might think about organising something tomorrow. Anyone else got any ideas?

Meegs

Sorry Meegs, I know you're trying to help, but reality hit me a little harder than optimism could heal, that is, if they are not returning after Rumba, which is the most likely scenario.

They skipped us for the Crush Tour, we got a 3/4 concert for the One Wild Night Tour.

I call it once bitten, twice shy.
