Default BJ's live show is weak..

Did anyone see RIR3 when GnR perfromed? how come none of BJ's concerts are that good? Or the bootleg's from the 02' tour(dizzyreed.com). How come jon can't put on such a good show?

Obviously you haven't been to any Jovi concerts. Either that or you were too drunk to remember.

William, how come you are on the wrong forum?
And indeed RiR3 is amazing, like so many other GnR AND Bon Jovi shows.

i am a fan of BJ, just not so much their new as their old, someday i would like to see a tour together, maybe a "gods of rock" deal. GnR, BJ, aerosmith. I have been to a bj concert but it dosnt compare to the raw energy and musicianship displyed by gnr. The yplay more difficult music, and the way the lead and rythem guitars play off each other is unique.

Aloha !

Yes when the new GNR plays, they've show much more power and enthusiasm then BJ does. The only problem is that you're talking about a band that has done about 15 shows now, while BJ is the same band for more then 20 years. It's not that strange the new GNR has got more power. In the end of the UYI tour GNR didn't have that much power left compared to the end of the TD tour.

Sebastiaan

Ah yes, and now it takes 2 guitarplayers to fill in for Slash. Go figure.
Judging by your age you have only seen GnR in the new lineup.
The closest your ''Gods of Rock'' ever got was when Slash's Snakepit (read: Slash and Gilby) opened for BJ in 1995. Sorry but the three bands you mention are incomparable to one another. And it's BailEy by the way

You honestly want to compare Bon Jovi on their best nite to any current GnR show?
a) GnR was always a much harder rocking band just by nature of their music
b) yeah - they were SO powerful that their lead singer had a complete mental breakdown and had to cancel the rest of the long-awaited comeback tour (either than or all the cornrows and botox injections seeped into his brain and his frontal lobe melted.)

Those who live in the past are condemned to stay there...
