Some acronyms clearly aren't meant to be
Can't see why this was never mixed up with Sleep. And I agree that the second half of KTF is filled with some great songs that are vastly underrated by the band.

As much as I'd love to hear this, Jon doesn't have the cojones to attempt this one live again. (and if he ever did, it would be the last song of the evening because he'd be "done" afterward)

yes you are right , if it's done like the album version but Jon has shown us he knows how to change a song so he can sing it today! Maybe they could find THE 2011 LIVE VERSION fitting his capacity

Aside from the higher key change at the end, I can't see why I would be too much of a problem to sing. Plus with him being on the acoustic it shouldn't be a major effort I would have thought.

That's true, the song could be changed to make it easier on him. I'm afraid he doesn't like the song though so I'm thinking this isn't going to be one that'll ever be played live again.

Aloha !

I never got this thing of mixing up Sleep with Blame. Just because a song starts with a drum beat and then follows up with a guitar riff doesn't make them the same sort of song and therefore interchangable.

The song can't be played in a different key. The riff is in a certain key that would sound odd transposed into a different key. Combine that with the 2 key changes in the song it'd be a bitch to play it live. No way Jon would be able to sing Blame now, he struggled with it back in 1993 already and it's one of the hardest vocals he ever recorded.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Sleep and Blame it on the Love are similar because a) they both start drums followed by guitar riffs and more importantly b) they are both fun, rock songs that are heavily inspired by the Stones and c) they have a very similar formula.

How is this one of the hardest vocal he's ever recorded? It is certainly not his highest vocal. And I don't think it is any faster than Something for the Pain? His voice had a tone back then he certainly couldn't produce, but other than that, I could certainly see them do this. I should say, capable of doing this.

JBJ has a peculiar taste when it comes to his own band's repertoire, it seems.
