Any way you see it its an important accomplishment for the band, very very few acts can deliver in such level for so many years and we can question (some more than others...) jons decisions-motives-statements etc but bj is one of the few bands that make records and goes out on the road and gives their soul night after night for so many years, without publicity bullshits like comeback tour- farewell tour-no personal stuff just their music, sometimes supporting great albums sometimes average. i get critical too sometimes its logical when you are a fan but questioning absolutely everything is irittating.

U2 only tour once every 5 years - Bon Jovi every 2 years.
If Jovi would only tour once every 5 years, they could also go for stadiums all over the world. Instead they have been touring almost constantly which is cool for the fans, but it is understandable that lots of 'casual' fans will maybe skip a tour.
So having a number 1 tour is not bad when keeping in mind they also had a no. 1 tour in 2008.
If you'd count the attendance for Jovi and U2 between 2006 and 2010 i believe the numbers will be close to eachother. U2 playing 1 monster tour and Jovi playing 2 tours, mainly arenas.
My only concern is that U2's approach makes it more 'special' and exclusive.
My feelings about U2 are double. I like their music and love the scale of their production. On the other hand, they are just as focused on numbers as jovi are. They are just lucky that they have always been the critic's darlings.
Then again, U2 are selling out stadiums all over the world. Bon Jovi couldn't do that, that's why they are going for the arenas. Although I would love them to still be able to do so... maybe they should cut their ticketprices
