they obviously are ready to make more efforts and sacrifices for the usa market because it is much more interesting financially
It also has to do with the size of the US and the US market. France is smaller in Sq. milage than Texas. And the Texas market is only getting one show this leg in San Antonio. First leg Texas got 2 shows in Dallas.
Bon Jovi are not doing any California dates this up coming leg, so if CA fans want to see the band they need to make the trip to Vegas.

Well guys, not only did Bon Jovi top the Billboard Year End Charts but they have also been declared the top tour by POLLSTAR for 2010. Billboard's chart runs from Nov 09 to Nov 10 while POLLSTAR is for the whole 2010 calendar. Bon Jovi cracked the $200 million mark with 80 shows in 2010, nearly $50 million more than the Billboard total of $149 million from 69 shows reported. Looks like the boys are on pace to have another great year in 2011. With shows already in North America, a full blown European stadium tour, along with yet to be announced shows in South Africa, Israel, and SE Asian leg, Bon Jovi should easily match/exceed 2010 figures.

Judging by the impressive attendance and gross revenue they have generated from the South America and Pacific Rim stadium tours, 2011 #'s should be impressive with majority of the shows being stadium as compared to 2010 being mostly arena shows.

If Bon Jovi tops Billboard's chart next year, they will join the Rolling Stones as the only two artists to have #1 tours in consecutive years and the only artist to have three #1 tours in a four year span.

Congratulations to the boys from New Jersey. Hope 2011 will be one for the record books. I know Jon has said many times that the tour is over July 31st in various interviews, but part of me has a feeling that Jon & company may add more dates for the circle tour knowing that they have a chance to place themselves in elite company and be in rarefied air all by themselves. Hopefully, they will add some more european dates in-between gaps and return to North America for the months of September & October to play more arena dates in various markets.

Also, as for the whole argument/ debate as to wether Bon Jovi has over saturated the market with their consistent touring in the 2000's, it is only natural that the law of supply and demand presents itself in this case, but not so much when it comes to the North America audience. This is my own thought, i hope it makes sense. Let's look at the 2000's alone and analyze the touring figures.
Crush/OWN 3 million
Bounce 1.8 million
HAND 2 million
Lost Highway 2.2 million
Circle 10' 2 million
Circle 11' 2 million (my estimate for 2011)

That is a staggering 13 million people in eleven years!!!!!!!!!!! Grant it, I admit up until this tour, the past decade the band's world tour mostly consisted of North America, Japan and Europe on a regular basis. They didn't tour as much as internationally as they did in the 90's, but the reason being was their surging popularity (or should I say revival in popularity) in North America. Much like in the 90's where Jovi was only "big" in America, their popularity grew exponentially globally. They were playing stadiums on all continents of the planet. When 2000 came around, the US market realized what the rest of the world already knew, that Jovi was an elite/ global iconic rock n roll band. In my opinion Jovi (Jon in particular ) realized this movement in the US and concentrated on stabilizing and expanding his fan base in this market. IMO this has worked and has helped the band to be recognized as one of the world's best along with the Stones, Springsteen, and U2. Since 2005 and the HAND album/tour, BON JOVI were now consider living legends and the general public respected the achievements of the band.

Bon Jovi now has the loyalty of the US market for all the hard work they've done in the last decade FOREVER. After this tour, if Bon Jovi takes a four/five year break and comes back to do another large scale tour like the Circle, it will be met with overwhelming demand by the US market and with every other country in the world, because they have their LOYALTY. Case in point, just like when the band decided to tour South America for the first time since 1995, or Australia since 2001 and hopefully SE Asia and South America this year, they will sell bucket loads of tickets cause they have their LOYALTY. The South American and Australian legs were extremely successful. They have finally SECURED the US MARKET.

Just because Japan only received two stadium shows this year compared to previous tours doesn't mean they have overstayed their welcome, it's simply that collectively over the last ten years demand (fans) have met supply (jovi) in Japan and every other country for that matter. Bon Jovi has done FIVE WORLD TOURS in ten years. Alot of people don't understand the significance of this achievement. No other band can claim this feat. It's not like they take five year breaks in between tours like U2 and the Stones. Eight year breaks for ACDC. Of course their demand for tickets seem to be in higher when they finally announce their tours because in a way they are under supplying the demand by not touring at a break neck pace like Jovi has done over the last ten years. If those bands were to tour as often as Jovi, do you think any of them can put up the type of #'s Jovi has in the last ten years??? Don't get me wrong, I have alot of respect for the artists mentioned above. I have attended all of their shows and all of them are rock n roll legends and all have historical accomplishments & achievements , but to consistently tour as much as Jovi has and at the same MAGNITUDE as Jovi, no one comes close to achieving what Bon Jovi has done in the last ten years. Instead of arguing about the set lists, the amount of times Jovi has/hasn't visited a country, or that the songwriting or production of albums made in the 2000's isn't the same as it was in the 80's or 90's, the Lost Highway project, WE SHOULD APPRECIATE & RESPECT THE BAND FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE LAST TEN YEARS. We ALL have favorite eras of Bon Jovi regarding albums and tours and we ALL have ones that we don't like as well (OR LIKE AS MUCH). Music in general is subjective taste, there is no right or wrong, just different viewpoints from humans who like different genres of music from all aspects of life. That is how I feel about Bon Jovi and the other fans on this board and BSWJBJ..........Some people prefer the 90's to the 00's or just the pure 80's sound.......Bon Jovi has been around for some time now and has crossed three generations of fans. Certain fans can relate to certain eras/albums more than others, it is all subjective about our love for jovi and that is completely normal and healthy.

Thnx for taking the time to read my post and hopefully it makes sense lol

nice post!!! i could nt agree more. i believe they have a true challenge in front of them, they clearly need and deserve a break, but adding a couple of months(september-october) into the touring program they increase their chances of having 3 no1s tours in 4 years, 2 in consecutive!!! and all these with no comeback tour-reunion, farewell etc...on the contrary they have 5 tours the last decade...
i know its not all about the numbers and the achievements but they could make history and be proud of sth that even the stones havent achieved, at least yet.
i dont know the tickets that have been sold this far for 2011 but looks like it will be a close battle between bj and u2 for the number 1 tour again, the 360 tour of u2 is in its 3rd year and has already done 2 european legs, it seems though they will release another album in spring and if they add another european leg in august-september-october then they would easily overpass bj unless they succesfully add a stadium leg in asia-s,africa-middle east and 15-20 arenas in september october.
i hope my post made some sense...
