Well, out of the 3.43 million quoted, Bon Jovi is around 1.3 million of that figure (US).

It's not so much my skepticism for HAND selling more, I just assumed Madonna alone has bigger sales for that album.

Nah, it debuted high but then fell like a rock. I'm not sure if her record outsold HAND or not.

no, not really. and Rolling Stones aren't selling anything so I would actually assume that those are quite accurate numbers.

Ah. I was going by the amount of times I hear her singles on the radio. She's on what, her third or forth single from the record. I assumed it was selling. Then again HAND sold decent and they pulled the plug. grrr. Oh well.

You guys are probably right then.

I don't know Matt. According to RIAA Madonna and the Stones latest records were certified platinum, so who knows.

if it was cerified platinum then it's 1 million and it would add up to be 3. something. I am really into numbers as you see

Well, we know that HAND in the US is at 1.3 million sold, so I guess it's feasible that Madonna and the Stones only sold 2.1 between them but that seems low to me.

The new Rolling Stone's album has sold basically nothing in the States, and yeah, I would consider them a nostalgia act. But they're still amazing, and people still want to see them, so whatever.

As for being certified platinum, I'm not sure if I'm right on this one (someone verify?) or if it applies in this instance, but I think there's a difference between being certified platinum for shipping one million units, and certified platinum for sales exceeding one million copies...

Jovi's album was a hit though, since it had a #1 (Country, lol) single, and H.A.N.D. was pretty big too.
