I respect the Stones (even though I don't like them) and I've heard Jon state his like and respect of them and seen him perform part of a Stones song in concert. Some people just have no sense of humor. IT WAS A JOKE! And as for the put down of Richie's playing, that loser has absolutely no idea what he's talking about!
Well...the comments aren't even so bad. How would you react if Justin Hawkins said Bon Jovi can open for them if they want, even if it's only a joke.
And Davefan...look in your own garden before bashing The Stones. BJ is a joke since Destination Anywhere and Undiscovered Soul and somebody pointed it. What's so hard to accept??? I mean people on this board have been much worse with the band and Jon than those guys were.

thats ridiculous. i dont see the big issue Bon jovi opened for the stones in paris after they had just sold out wembley themselves. its back to the same old thing of the industry and other bands fans giving bon jovi no respect what so ever.

Sorry - I don't agree with you. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I'm saying what I think - I don't like the Stones. As someone else said, I have all the respect in the world for them - Doesn't mean their music is any good any more.
