Was talking to my mom on a couple of days ago and she goes like "hey, did you know that AC/DC, Guns N' Roses and Bon Jovi will play Bucharest Rock Arena?" And I'm like, yeah, what a joke, blah blah. Anyhow, she heard it on some radio station and the radio guy apparently said that 2 out of this 3 bands will play. I looked up the website and of course there was nothing there.

However, I just checked again and AC/DC are now confirmed, which came like a HUGE shock because I didn't believe it for a second. The 2nd major headliner will be announced April 15th. Any chance it will indeed be Bon Jovi or do they already have gigs during those days? I'm so completely uninterested in their Jazz Fests and what not that I really have no idea. It seems like they are really high on the wishlist (just behind AC/DC and Aerosmith), they never played Romania before, so who knows. Otherwise, if Guns N' Roses will be the other headline, hell, that would already be a great line- up. Too bad there's no way I can make it.

the website is shit but here you go: http://www.bucharestrockarena.ro/artisti.html
The band hasn't announced any dates between Jazz Fest on May 2 and Summerfest on June 25.

I am from Bucharest and I heard this rumor these days, but I can't believe it could be true. I mean at Rock Arena they already confirmed AC/DC and it seems they will announce another huge name for the other day of the festival, and the rumor says that it could be either Bon Jovi or Guns N' Roses. For me, I would deffinitely prefered not AC/DC and instead to come Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses, it would have been a dream come true, but well...as AC/Dc confirmed already...there is just one name to confirm. And I thing that Guns N' Roses are more likely to come. I can't believe I will see them if all this is true. But Why not Bon Jovi too

To all Romanians, why would you think Bon Jovi would play in such a shithole as Bucharest or any other city in Romania? Certainly not for fun but for the bucks!

Romania? Is that where the romans come from:

That's what I think Bon Jovi should do with the Romanians or whatever those silly people call themselves.

haha, good ol' Thierry. First of all, Bon Jovi only play for big bucks no matter if it's Paris or if it's Bucharest. Or have you ever heard them do a trip to Europe "for fun"? And why would AC/DC play that festival when they can easily sell out as many freakin' stadiums in Central Europe as they want? What was the point of this post really? Unless you're a moron, and I know you personally so I know that's true only in some senses, I can't really explain it.

2nd, they did play far "worse" places in the past.

3rd have you ever been to Bucharest? Unless it's one of those horribly hot days, it's actually quite a cool city. http://frugaltraveler.blogs.nytimes....l-underground/

4th no, they won't play there anyhow. It's just a rumour, I bet it's not true.

I cannot sea any reason why it shouldn't happen in theory. Not likely, though. I mean, they have played shitty little TV shows here in Germany in recent years, and those festivals like Summerfest are not the biggest ones, are they? So why not come to one show in Bucharest? And all this talk about them feeling too big for festivals... I doubt that. Money reasons is another thing... and what a bad one. They should really play for all their fans... and don't they know festivals make new fans as you play to people who have never seen them before? I hope they will play Romania!

anyone knows something about the Europe tour? I just talked to a friend of mine here that organizes many concerts(of the genre) here and I asked about a possible Bon Jovi & Guns N' Roses at Rock Arena and he told me that they don't know already, because Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses postponed the Europe tour dates to September. Did they?
