I was disappointed with this news initally, mainly because I love the new Wembley as a music venue so I am gutted they still haven't played there. Plus we will probably get a standard set with little production.

However, on the plus side this festival will get a lot more promotion on radio and TV, and parts of the festival are usually broadcast on TV too so we should get some decent pro-shot footage too. And being a festival at least there should be a decent line up of bands as support, which we havent had in a while!

2011 Ticket information announced

With the announcement of Hard Rock 2011, we’ve also released details of how much your tickets will cost in addition to when and how you can get your hands on them.

A ticket to spend the day at Hard Rock Calling and see Bon Jovi headline on Saturday 25th June has remained the same as it was last year – only £59!

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday 1st November at 9am, however Hard Rock Calling subscribers can get tickets from 4pm Friday 29th October – so if you haven’t already done so, sign up now for free!

Vodafone customers can buy tickets to see Bon Jovi at Hard Rock Calling 48 hours before anyone else. Get your tickets HERE from 9am Thursday 28th October.

Just looked at the 09 lineup, they had about 6/7 acts starting from 1.30pm. For £60 its great value (who would have thought it for Bon Jovi!)

What time do tickets go on sale?

And what are the best methods of getting closer to the stage on the 2nd day (when the band are performing)? Surely, fans will be camping out for the 3-day event.

Friday 4pm for Absolute radio, Saturday 9am for Live Nation, 1st Nov for General Sale and tomorrow for Backstage.

Im not sure they will have onsite camping as the 3 days are separate gigs and anyone camping in the park will probably be moved on. To get close to the front would probably involve getting there early and using your elbows.

Edit: Absolute has also moved HRC pre-sale to Sat 9am. Manchester & Scotland are Friday 12 noon
