Default Bon Jovi can't play Dry County anymore..

Well I know and other musicians on this board will probably confirm it with me. They cannot play Dry County anymore because Jon's voice changed a lot. It has become much lower than it was used to be. Well his smoking habit is the problem for this. They play already all the live songs an bit lower Eb tuning instead of the normal E tuning, all the songs are recorded in the studio in the E key.

Even in these arms has been fixed 1,5 note lower. Thats why it sounds so weird live lately. I think JBJ can't also sing: Only Lonely, Stick To Your Guns anymore in a normal way. Exspecially Dry County is a victim of this crap, the song will not be played anymore simply because of Jon can't hit the right notes anymore. So they keep on playing the regular stuff, with the crush crap ..

If you think they only play crap, don't go to their concerts. It's that easy.

Aloha !

Yes, and again Thierry has made a good point. He didn't make this topic to start another discussion about Jon's voice, but just why he thinks they don't play Dry County anymore. And yes, they play crap lately. Well, I think Jon's the one who's crap. But hey, you need something to believe in don't you ? So we all keep believing...and hoping.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I hope they will still play In These Arms. I don't care if they tune it 2 full steps down... I have yet to hear that live!

Maybe Richie could sing all the songs Jon can't anymore. That would mean we'd get Richie singing 3/4 of the show - and in the meantime Jon could consult with the mirror in his back pocket.

Yeah I think all the male fans like Richie as their fave band member, thats natural. His solo albums kick serious ass too.....I have been having a rejuvenation with Undiscovered Soul lately, I love that album. Stuff like Chained, Who I Am, Downside of Love (how good is the solos in that?!), its a gem. Jon is cool too though, dont be down on him....he is still the band.

In These Arms sounds just great live! I don't care if it's a note lower or higher but it was a wonderful surprise and a great version I heard in 2001. It doesn't sound weird at all

Ok, I don't know anything about notes or tunes or guitar riffs but don't you go and bash my favourite songs :P
