how so exactly? I can assure you my son doesn't care the least what the singer of a band looks like and I dare to say that there aren't more women my age that care about looks than there are 20 somethings that are all about looks.
(if any thing it's the reversed -- it's a maturity thing ya know...)

LOL I agree with you both is that possible ?? I am middle aged woman (sorry !!) who goes to the shows (about 30 until today ) with my 4 children (not all the shows with the 4 LOL) ... one person: rocker is talking about *Jon* who seems focused about being trendy and goodlooking - which is not far away from the truth after 2000 .. and spunky is also right talking about how the audience reacts to this - what Jon's is targetting is not what I am enjoying nor my kids and it's the same for many females who are not in their 20's .... + my 19,16,12 and 9 years old now (they were 2 years younger during bounce tour )don't care for the trendy look on the contrary .... same for me ...

Though depending of the venues (honestly) there are audience that are mostly females that *think* BON JOVI as a band with a hunky lead singer and they are expecting way more a ripped off shirt and why not more (hoping secretly Jon turing into a showing off Tommy Lee) than anything else ... I recall Jon opening his shirt toward the end of the Munich show but the audience was so much into the show (which was one of the 5 best Bounce shows ) that no one noticed no scream , no female fainting so he didn't took off his shirt and kept it on doing the show intead of turning into a chippendale .. I did think that the audience make the show more than Jon himself .. he thought : ok do they want me naked , and realised that maybe it wasn't what the audience wanted and choosed the music instead ...

so yes and no about the audience being embarassing I have seen some amazing crowd and there were females middle aged there too ...

Europeans shows have an audince with 50% of males which is totally untrue in the usa

hahaha, I always wondered who the handful of guys at a BJ show were. LOL. Couldn't help to think they only went because their girlfriends 'made' them. This board has changed this opinion somewhat as there are respectable guys that like BJ for what they are and not so much because it might get them laid.

So, with that, I want to add that I am embarrassed by the 20 something males that only go because their girlfriends made them :P

Spunky too bad you are living that far away ..I would love to meet you .. you are so funny ...
I agree those guys are embarassing me to stand there not knowing what to do .... i recall Johnny Rzeznick in the atlantic city show I think or maybe was it montreal .. making fun of this guy sit there waiting for the show to be finished (and get back home with the lady and .. i don't know ... ) ... he was kinda mad at this poor sitting guy ... but I agree for the guys on stage to see THAT in the audience is depressing

i don't think it has to do with age but with the style of these people who are mainly american women. luckily the european audience is somewhat different.
now i'm not sure whether it's this audience which makes jon's image or it's jon's image that makes them listen to bon jovi.
and yes, it is embarrassing

WTF?? I suppose you are talking about the first three or four rows of "American women" then, being that is all they tend to focus on during those webcasts and other nonesense. I know that you have never been to a show here where you actually might get to see an entire crowd instead of a select few before passing judgement.

sometimes i think it's easier to see 'an entire crowd' from your tv screen than actually being there yourself. and yes most of them are women and yes some of them do look weird (to me).
i've also asked a couple of people who have been to US shows and we share the same opinion.
then i can't be 100% sure so maybe you're right.

Sounds a bit superficial to me, but then again I try not to judge people as
"weird" solely by what they look like. Guess I don't feel high and mighty enough to pass judgement like that.
