I have been to US shows and some of those 30 something "american women" are freaking hot.

WTF?? I suppose you are talking about the first three or four rows of "American women" then, being that is all they tend to focus on during those webcasts and other nonesense. I know that you have never been to a show here where you actually might get to see an entire crowd instead of a select few before passing judgement.

sometimes i think it's easier to see 'an entire crowd' from your tv screen than actually being there yourself. and yes most of them are women and yes some of them do look weird (to me).
i've also asked a couple of people who have been to US shows and we share the same opinion.
then i can't be 100% sure so maybe you're right.

Sounds a bit superficial to me, but then again I try not to judge people as
"weird" solely by what they look like. Guess I don't feel high and mighty enough to pass judgement like that.
we could agree if i judged as weird their personalities or their lives but i only judged their appearance.
and they look weird to me because to the rock concerts i attend women don't get dressed like that.

Ahhhh..so that makes sense. First of all, if you are judging this by the Borgata webcast, you are way off base. The Borgata is a pretty fancy casino, therefore people feel the need to dress up a bit more. You aren't going to see the typical jeans and t-shirts that you would at a normal BJ show. If you check out at a concert at Giants, you will notice the attire is just like what people wear over in Europe. It all has to do with the type of venue.

True - the Bogata is a classy casino (as opposed to a cheesy casino ) and for the first Borgata concert we were told to "dress up" by the official Bon Jovi website. The second Borgata concert this past November we were told that it was a rock concert and to dress however we liked. Because of the Box Set cover (gold lame' suits ) some people chose to spoof the style and wear gold lame' to the concert. Most people wore Bon Jovi T-shirts and jeans - at least where I was sitting.

I think there are always fans that can behave in an embarassing manner at any concert whatever your age. After all you would have been 4 when BJ first started :P

Its great being 30+ and having been there when BJ were at the height of popularity. If some of these fans now behave or look embarassing to you then so what, I dont think they really care because they lived and grew up with BJ and thats all the more important to them and their beer guts !

to be honest 2 types of fan annoy me:

1) The booze, thugs that are just there to shout and scream along to LOP/IML

and

2) The drunk middle aged couples that try to push their way to the front 3/4 of the way into the setlist, and then act surprised and angry when i refuse to move and tell them to **** off.

Default Kids

The teen, 20, 30, and 40 year olds don't bother me. What I find bothersome are the kids. I live in a college town where we have concerts on a regular basis (open to all, not just students). Young kids don't seem to be a problem with either the older or newer bands performing. Maybe it's a Bon Jovi thing. Maybe there should be an age limit, say no one under 12 years of age allowed. There's often a lot of story telling in between songs during concerts. When the band have to watch the way they talk in order to keep the performance clean because of kids, then something is wrong. I remember reading on the Bon Jovi board a few years back a bunch of women complaining about either Bon Jovi or one of their opening bands cussing a little during the show. "They know there are young impressionable kids here. These are family events and need to be kid friendly." Give me a break!

Hehe this posts amuses me after the recent tour.

I dont find the crowd embarrasing but I def think the atmosphere at a Jovi show has gone down in recent years. As someone who posts on here put it, BJ fans are the most unhard-core Hard core fans. When you look at the crowd for Wembley 95, everybody was rammed in swaying in time with each other but now people around the front, there are just massive spaces. When we were at Milton Keynes we looked in front and you could have honestly parked a bus in the space people had in front of them. Youre scared to jump up and down, shout or whatever in case you ruin someones photo/vid clip. But apart from Prayer, Cap Crash and Who says the crowd seemed rather static on the last tour....
