Waiting makes me tired....

They can tell us if they gonna tour or not....
That would be fair

I TOTALLY agree with that !!!! This is why I am wondering why they don't do it ? I know they are waiting for the album but I also think they could announce their dates WAY BEFORE the album they have absolutely NO RISK taken
Over here Mireille, we've been waiting so long for them to tour that if they announced one that included Oz, I reckon we'd all need to go on a retreat to get over the shock

Do you mean will I need something if they came here?...yeah...a big lie down to recover from the shock! Do you mean do I think they'll tour here [tour, as opposed to being part of a pop festival]...no.

Aussies have sort of resigned themselves to a sort of optimistic dream they will tour here again. We've heard all the arguments about why they haven't/don't [you know the arguments...'it's too far away', 'it's too expensive to tour there', 'it's a business, and it's not good business sense to lug all that staging etc all the way to Oz', etc., etc.] and back in 2000 that was a reasonably fair enough bunch of arguments [to a point]. The aussie $ was crap back in 2000/01, so we could see the logic in that argument. The band haven't toured Oz for 10 years [for the fans it Perth, it's been 12 years] and I really don't see that changing anytime soon. Crush was a big album here, as were the singles released from it [esp. IML] but unfortunately Oz wasn't on their tour itinerary - the Universal Appeal Concert was the only reason that BJ came here...it fitted in to the space between Jon finishing Vampires and the band beginning the second leg of their tour [Japan]. A shame they didn't tour here because there was a new bunch of fans that IML bought on board. Just prior to the release of Bounce, promoters went to the States to talk to the band/management about touring that album here...but then a thing called RUMBA popped up, and that was the end of any tour talk. We were cheesed off with that, but could see why it happened that way. Rumba provided their own stage, their own lighting etc., so made sense for the band to take that mode of coming here...no stage to have to cart down here, no lighting rig [which means less crew] and a guaranteed appearance fee. Win/win situation for the band.

I'd love it too if they did tour here [considering I've only seen them once in 2001, and while the band were great, the day/night was horrendous, sadly due to fc members in the pit] but I'm not betting my house on it.
