It blows my mind that Jon thinks he could possibly be ready to do a full show, never mind a tour, when he can barely manage through a few songs at his Nashville bar.

So much for only willing to tour when he can do 3 hours, 4 nights a week or whatever it was he said. We all knew he was never going to get back to that level...
Yes, I did.

Why can't he do a public performance in JBJ Bar for 45 mins till an a hour, answer is.....He can't......So why go private with people who say what you want to hear? Even if it's not?

Hopefully, JBJ is honest with himself and knows he can't peform for 30 mins, let alone an hour or a Tour!.

It's over regarding live for JBJ, even a farewell....focus on Albums, and for someone who enjoys performing must be hard, but that's the reality.....

This is a wild thing to get bent out of shape about though. Doing a test show for friends and family instead of someone paying a ticket doesn't sound....bad? Why are people acting like he's already fleecing fans?

No ones saying that or getting bent out of shape, but c'mon Cap, let's be real. The bar clips we saw show that he's just not ready. Or anywhere near. What people can't understand is why he needs to do this to prove that to himself. Surely the Nashville performances are enough? If he sounds this bad for 30 minutes, he's not going to sound any better for 2 hours, is he?

All this says to me is that he's prepared to go out on tour with his voice in it's current condition, if he can play the full show without it going on him completely.

I just hope that he invited people that will be honest with him and not just tell him what he wants to hear...

Well he is....JBJ knows deep down he's not ready. And naive fans will go to a Tour ( if it happens) believing what he's said....I'm ready....No he isn't.

I love the guy, but all evidence suggests that no improvement has happended since his voice operation.....Jon could kid himself, but surely he doesn't want a repeat of 2022 if ignores the reality? And then sees or hears how bad he is or, his wife telling him again he was bad......

Better to make records, then embarass himself going back live.....

We all want JBJ to go back out live, the fact is he's finished doing that......sadly..I just hope JBJ pride doesn't get in the way......

There are other ways to solve this problem. Many artists have done it already. Although he said he didnt want to go that route I think thats gonna happen eventually. Once he says yes to a whole tour there will be a lot of pressure to finish it no matter what.

Any pressure is from Jon. He knows he's not ready or will never perform live at at acceptable level, but then misleading fans who naive enough to think he will ever tour again is wrong....Why perform in private for 10-15 people? Not public at JBJ Bar? Is......He knows what objective fans reaction will be.....No... he's not made any improvement. And he knows this.

Maybe bent out of shape is too strong. I stand by my take of "why are we complaining about this?". Selling tickets to a show he knows he can't live up to, I get. But him seeing how the band sounds in a live setting to gauge next steps, people are putting five carts before the horse. This could also be what it takes for him to realize it's over. I've knocked him for a lot but I can't do it for trying it out, ya know?

There was certainly a lot of it was during the Thank You, Goodnight promo track as well. For instance, at the beginning of the promo he said that the documentary was named that because this could be the end of the road for the band. Then, by the end of the promo treck (for maybe it was during the Forever promo) he completely denied that and said that it was named that because that's what he says at the end of every show. Make up your mind Jon....

I'm not about to get into to heavily as it's been done time and time again here. Some people still want to continue to take everything that Jon says as gospel and get upset when you point out the contradictions...and that's ok too. But I'm not that gullable.
I rememer stuff from the eighties when I was reading all the magazines I could find with BJ. During Slippery he was asked in several interviews what Desmond Childs role was in the writing of Bad Name and Prayer. He was always downplaying Childs part. Like saying he comes in at the very last bit when they are finishing the song and then its very refreshing to have an outsider who comes up with some tips. Back then I believed that. We now know thats bollocks.

I watched the Billy Falcon stream today because I figured some info about those Nashville shows may come out and he did give more info on the little shows the band did over the last week. He said they was about 1.5 hours and they played about 18 songs. The ones he remembered them playing were (Not in order BTW):

Limitless
Love's the Only Rule
Legendary
Make a Memory
This House is Not For Sale
Bad Name
Prayer
Wanted
It's My Life
Born to Be My Baby
Keep the Faith
Born to Follow

He also mentioned that Jon sang the second verse on Holy Water and the entire process was filmed and will hopefully be documented in a BTS video or something. Jon sang the song about 10 times and then again for a music video.

Here is the full setlist posted by someone. Unclear whether it's real but it does look pretty damn real. Bon Jovi Secret Nashville show setlist.jpg

Cool to see Hey God even if Phil sings it!
