Default Bon Jovi: More dead than alive ?

check this out.

both richie and jon sound tired , not necessarily out of tune or anything. just tired as hell. and judging by the dead crowd, they didn't get their kicks that evening.

maybe it's time for the 2 week rest ?

Wanted has sounded flat since about '95. Nothing new.

I don't like that there is nothing more than only the song played. No intro whatsoever. This song is muh more boring to me live than Bad Medicine or Bad Name which are overplayed as well.
There were times when Jon let the crowd sing; during the HaND tour it was Richie who did the second verse. But now? Boring, boring, boring. They could add some intro, not necessarilly an instrumental one (but why not sometimes?), they could do Ride Cowboy Ride, Stick To Your Guns, Midnight Rider, or something. Or they could stop playing it this way at all - in 1996 they did it nly acoustically, maybe they could do it on the circle now in a different rendition with accordion.

That really is depressing to see.

They really, really don't need to actually play this song at all.

If they played at their best, fired up for 25-30 of their BEST songs, no one would go home bitching because they didn't hear Wanted.

Totally agree mate. When I saw them in 2008 in Lisbon it was such a turn off. That and prayer. ALL because of the way they're played nowadays. it has nothing to do with jon not hitting those notes anymore.

I agree! They should come back for the next leg of the tour with something new like this...
I dont think they should stop playing Wanted...but add an intro, keep changing this intro through the shows like they do with the BM medley...

Wanted Dead or Alive is the best Bon Jovi song. A flat, uninterested version of this beats the shit out of something like SUperman Tonight. End of story because I have spoken.

There is almost no post-2000 performance of that song I actually really liked.
For me performances on the SWW tour (yes, even with Jon's shot voice!) were among the best of that song ever! Why? Because for me Jon felt the song and they captured the spirit and message of it in their live performance. At least in the way the song is meaningful to me. The Jersey tour had good ones as well, in the 90's it still was cool because of the acoustic intro Richie played, but already there the song had lost a bit of its magic for me.

The shot voice highlighted the message of the song!! It is about exhaustion on tour.

Wanted is classic and that's why it deserves to be still attractive live. This is plain boring.

At least they did some strumming before the keyboard riff in 2000/2001 but starting with Bounce tour it became boring. It has terrible spot for such song during the Bounce tour. HaND tour was a bit better because of Richie singing the second verse few times. But still..
