Yeah, I love these 1987 Wanted versions. My favorite is one from some single back in the eighties in accoustic in the studio just by Jon and Richie. Fantastic version.

check this out.

both richie and jon sound tired , not necessarily out of tune or anything. just tired as hell. and judging by the dead crowd, they didn't get their kicks that evening.

maybe it's time for the 2 week rest ?
It's not as bad as everyone says. But it's obvious that they have played it a zillion times and the performance became routine. I highly agree on the fact that it needs an intro: They did "Midnight Rider" in Atlanta on the LH tour, why can't they do sth like this every night? "Ride Cowboy Ride", "Blood Money", "Stick To Your Guns"... the options are there...

Wanted is classic and that's why it deserves to be still attractive live. This is plain boring.

At least they did some strumming before the keyboard riff in 2000/2001 but starting with Bounce tour it became boring. It has terrible spot for such song during the Bounce tour. HaND tour was a bit better because of Richie singing the second verse few times. But still..

The 1987 versions don't do much for me. Shot voice is cool and all, but I miss some passion in Jon's performance. It sounds like it's all about being cool. I like the 1993 versions a lot, actually, 1995 too. From that one it sounded more and more like routine.

It makes me cringe every time Jon leaves the opening verse to the crowd and they don't sing. I feel embarressed for the band every time. Last night he didn't even leave the final wanted to the crowd. Just goes to show how sick he must be of these docile American crowds.

Roll on London.

Its all very well judging a performance from a bootleg but to be there and hear Richie playing an acoustic solo introduction(with David adding atmosphere) was spine tingling to say the least. Nowadays its just a case of playing it because its expected.

Aren't all of us sometimes a little tired when doing our jobs?
Ain't that just human..? I think it's a shame on how to comment every little detail on Jovi when it's less then perfect.

Why don't you just listen to the song without watching the image. Sounds like a perfect played version of wanted to me.

Too many of you are spoiled and acting very posh.

Dude, was it only two days ago since someone posted that AWESOME Kickin' ass version of Richie singing Homebound Train ??? This proves that everyone here is just too much bitching on little details. If jon's face on the big screen looks a little more tired than one day before you start bitching about the band being dead, flat, uninspired and so on...

Pfff .. it so exhausting having to read this. If tomorrow they play Hey God or I believe, than they are kings. If they just don't do anything special you guys call it weak, bad and so on...

These guys are no machines but human. If you compare any jovi show, even the less good ones to almost any band you'll see that this band is still outperforming almost any one else.
I've seen AC/DC, Metallica, Bruce, U2, Killers, Stones, R.E.M., Coldplay, Muse and so many more all more than ones and I can tell you that not every of their shows had the same energy level. It's just human.

Don't get spoiled, don't over analyse every note they play or don't play, don't analyse the if jon looks tired or not... It could just be that he didn't sleep well the night before ... Doesn't that happen to all of us?

For a casual fan it is still a great song
the tour has already grossed close to $50 million so far
so I doubt ppl are disappointed with the band

What I would give if they'd do Wanted like this one more time and I'd be there to hear it:

They can kick Runaway out of the encore if they're afraid of the curfew.
