But therein lies the probem. Bringing out these songs is a double edged sword. Rainsong is right on the money with this one. The shows I saw were fantastic and far above the quality of the Bounce tour. But because they didn't have Dry county, the entire US leg is looked down upon when it really shouldn't be.

If Dry county and all these rare(er) songs weren't pulled out, would people have had a better time? Seb said it himself, Jon sounded much better.

On the US leg, there were 2 songs that were TLFR style. So, two songs out of generally a 22-25 song set list. I don't see how that kills an entire show.

Agreed. It really didn't kill the show for me. Yah, it bored me, yah I just killed time and thought about stuff and didn't really pay attention but the show picked right back up again after em. They were a drag, but there's no way in hell I would have skipped the show cuz of a few measely songs.

Hi there,

Went to the show yesterday and I enjoyed it. I do agree it was a bit of a tame show regarding gems, song order and crowd enthusiasm, but the band played and sounded good. That is what makes this show good enough! Richie's first verse on Wanted... was good, thoroughly enjoyed that.

My girlfriend joked that Rich and Jon had tiny eyes, after having a good night's out... Well, they did look a bit tired in the face, but the playing and singing by far exceeded the look. On a side note, please never play the A'dam Arena again, they sound so much better when not playing in a sardine can....

It doesn't kill the 'entire' show. The problem was that it was 2-3 TLFR songs right smack in the middle of the setlist. So, everyone is rocking and then the show just dies. Its very difficult to reenergize the crowd to the pre-TLFR point after that happens. People sit down, start yawning (me), and generally lose interest. Therein lies the problem.

Okay, so are you saying it was the placement in the set that was the problem? Or are you saying an acoustic set of any kind should just be left out all together?

My personal opinion is that they should leave that crap out of the show completely. However, assuming it had to be inserted into the setlist, the middle is the absolute worst place they could put it.

It always makes me laugh when people go on about nostalgia acts and what they should be playing for the fans.. yet outrage occurs over them daring to play what 4 HAND songs their latest album in a row. I mean god dammit they should just be playing the hits.. better scrap Dry County of the list then because for the casual fan they probably went to the toilet during that song.

Its fine to think a show is not as good as another but when you take it as a personal affront they didnt perform exactly as you demanded thats a bit much.
