When I saw them in 96 they Id die for you, IBTFY and In these arms accousticly in the middle of the set and it sounded great. Its the fact that they are still trying to flog a dead horse by singing stuff off an album no-one liked.

What they should have done is announce 2-3 indoor, intimate gigs in Europe where accoustic and TLFR were played and advertised, they could have then slowed down a couple of hand songs too. And not bored us with any of this shit at the stadium gigs....

Playing a lot of HAND stuff is a good decision. They should be playing new stuff, it's just a shame that people don't know the words. The only fault in the set is playing songs that people do not really treasure. The tlfr shit and sleep. There should be a rarity or two in every set and the hits should be changed a bit. It's as Edwin says somewhere: They played the same set in 2003 except for the HAND songs... it's a shame really. Especially when seeing that only playing Dry County makes a good show a perfect show for so many people.

Nope people still expect a Bon Jovi ROCK concert... and the concert in Dusseldorf was such a show.
So they finaly thougt (I know I did) that Bon Jovi was back.

Well, the concert in Nijmegen wasn't such a great rock concert, I thought it was lame.

And it definitely wasn't a good one for Holland where they only do one. That one should have make the stars falling from the sky... and by far it didn't.

I agree with Neurotica80, they should do some TLFR indoor intimate gigs in Europe. Then the people no what they can expect and then they have a diffrent audience in front of them.
I love the dvd an evening with BJ... who dosn't... that's a whole diffrent acoustic set then TLFR. that show rocked. you can play acoustic and still rock, but TLFR is more jazz then rock and they should leave it out of the stadion concerts. It dosn't do the concert any good.

Someone told me I got mentioned in this review. Wow... Seb actually pays enough attention to what I say for it to show up in his "review."

Question

I am guessing Seb really has no freaking idea how fortunate he is to have a Jovi show in any form given the fans in Australia have been waiting eleven years for a full tour. Yes, that's right. Last full tour of Australia was 1995 but hey, let the seldom few petty European fans bitch and moan about "TLFR" or "Oh, too many songs off "HAND".

BTW...Would love to see Seb call Jon a MoFo to his face. That I would pay to see!

I just have to comment on the TLFR part of the show...

Nijmegen was my 17th BJ show and I've NEVER seen/heard Jon sing I'll Be There For You - ever! On Bounce tour I was hoping for it every single show, and I was also hoping for it in Dublin. So when I saw that Jon's not going off stage, but that he was actually gonna sing it... I went totally crazy!!!!! It was amazing, and I still think it was amazing. Yes, I would've preferred the original version, but to be honest I didn't even realise until towards the end of the song that it was the TLFR version.... Mainly because the people next to me (and I'm not talking about Taija ) were singing - no, shouting - the original version so loudly that I could barely hear Jon at all. To me, I'll be there for you was one of the highlights of the show - purely for the fact that Jon was singing it in the first place!!!

People who know me know that I've been talking for years that Jon should sing IBTFY and Richie should sing Wanted - which he funnily enough did in Dublin (at least a part of it)

I agree that Nijmegen wasn't the best ever show I've seen, but I don't think it was THAT bad - and Jon's voice is very good. The band is very tight as well, unlike Jon's trousers in Nijmegen which weren't tight at all - much to my disappointment

What can I say... It's all about the music!

OOPS

I also liked I'll be there for you - I didn't realise it was TLFR either but just some kind of accoustic version they did. I was just so surprised they did it together like that. After the song I heard from a friend with me they did it a lot in USA like this but well, I avoided every little thing about the tour before Dusseldorf cause I wanted to be surprised a lot and Im still glad I did it.

Didn't like the version of Bed of roses either ... But ow well, does that ruin the entire concert?? No!
