Who really speaks to every family member? Do you actually have proof, of these said family members saying they don't talk to him, because he's an ass?

This gets old fast.
Well said, Jade. The whole Jon is the meanest guy in the world thing is getting tired...

He's admitted himself he can be a dick, but who can honestly say they aren't sometimes?

The more i think about it, the less bothered i am now.
If what Deb said is right about them only getting in as they go on stage and leaving early, then i don't know why they're so bothered.
BJ need to get themselves ready and things.

I didnt know that either.

in a way i get it, many bands would want to get the gig, but then again, support acts are often new and trying to break, so i wouldnt think they would have all that much money to blow on that.

Default Family...

Let's put this whole thing into perspective...

Us regular folk ALL have family members we don't speak to. I'm sorry
but anyone claiming that they're the real life version of "The Waltons"
is just plain lying.

Can you imagine the family members, the distant family members
that would come out of the woodwork and want money from Jon
just because he has it? If he knocks them back, I guess in their eyes
that would make him an asshole, right?!

Nobody's perfect and Jon is no exception, but the fact that he still
has a close relationship with his parents, he has his brothers in the
inner circle working with the band and he's been married for twenty
years all adds up to any other family members on the outer being
pretty insignificant. The fact that the guys, as a band, are still together
and as close as brothers says a lot too.

deb
Yeah because it was the same thing at the Soldier Field show, they barely made it on time and went straight to the stage.

Yep - it's called a "Buy-on" and is almost always paid by the support bands' record company (and deducted from the bands royalties no doubt)......definitely happened in the early 90's; not sure exactly when it started though

I don't have exact figures but one Jovi support band (who shan't be named) actually managed to lose money because of the high price of the buy-on. This was despite taking £40,000 in one night in merchandise alone on the tour.......

Its also a well known fact that the support bands on a bill are not given the full lighting and sound to use during their show.
Just for the record Jon was an absolute ass on the 84 tour, all the other members including Al were cool.People need to stop believing that Jon is the likeable guy you all imagine he would be,even own members of his family dont speak to him anymore...

I don't give a shit if he's a nice guy or not, as long as he keeps being able to write good songs and sing them

It would appear i stirred up a hornet's nest with my comments as regards Jon being an arsehole.I guess i tend to judge people on the first impressions they give me.Within minutes of being in his company for the first time he badmouthed me and my fiancee for no reason at all.We happened to be staying in the same hotel and were relaxing in the hotel bar after a concert in Manchester.I rightly asked him to apologize to my wife for a comment he made but he refused, luckily Richie and Tico were on hand and calmed the situation, apologizing for Jon's behaviour.
Unfortunately me and Jon bumped into each other quite a lot on that tour and not once did he try to apologize for his actions during the original fall out.The rest of the band were an absolute blast and behaved like gentlemen, kudos to them all.
I dont bear grudges and if Jon had apologized i would gladly thought he was a better man than he is.Sure he rights great songs and has millions in the bank and one less admirer wont hurt him,but he overstepped the line by insulting my fiancee and in.
Why am i still on the board following Jovi you ask??
Basically i have followed the band since day one and always felt that Richie,Dave and Tico were a very under rated unit.At times it really annoyed that Jon seemed to get all the credit, nothing to do with my fall out with Jon just a simple observation.Mr Sambora has always been the star of the band in my eyes, just my opinon mind...
As for Jon's family members being upset with him, well its been well documented over the years about major fall outs.As someone already stated he may have made up with these particular family members,if thats the case then i apologize.
For all the people who told me to shut up,thanks for that, but if someone, anyone insulted your better half and refused to say sorry, wouldnt you act the same??
