Hi all
I was at the BBC radio 2 gig in London. They performed as many songs off air as they did on. I have put a video of bed of roses on you tube. Search for my login name, mathwica. Ignore the first 18 secs. Had my finger over the mic.

I know you had a great time with a great spot such things help to restore faith ...I am sure ...
now if you allow me to be honest with you I was listening and thought that Jon sounded bored , not too happy ...

the performance was 'normal' on the radio but really nothing special

wEre the guys in good spirit ? ..I mean It's rare to really say how things were from the inside the excitement tend to make the rest blurry

Yeah he was bored and seemed a little grumpy..

Whilst he was walking around the stage, he walked up to the studio window and stuck his middle finger up against the glass..lol. Probably for the crap we all had to endure about board games and other pointless conversations..lol

Saying that, he performed a lot off air, which he didnt need to do, so whether playing to 100 or 100,000, he puts the fans first...

thanks mark for the info ..I think often jon comes back to the fans (I mean the die hard fans not the fans = the audience) when he feels the show is boring or lost ... (many flat audience shows in my fan history got the best songs performed for US the die hard fans in the pit ...) I think they did all those added songs because
1) they had to do something , they were there and left alone with the fans the aired songs were every 15 minutes he prefered to sing for you better than to have the ppl there coming inside his space for a photo or a chat

2) to make the fans happy ....he certainly wanted to give the ppl there something that sounded like a real show

Set List was;

Bad Name, Born to Follow, When we were beautiful, Its My Life, Its only Make Believe (Conway Twitty), Make a Memory, What do you got, Bed of Roses, Work for the working man, Who says you cant go home and wanted.

After Bad Name we had a 20 minute window.. Jon allowed all the first 3 rows to come up and have there photo taken with him whilst Obie gave out The Circle Tour Guitar Picks..

thanks for the info about the first 3 rows and the photo ... I thought it was randomly done ... I see it had some sort of rules .... how many ppl approximatively? how many ppl were inside that studio ?
