If he can't handle that anymore, how will he do full shows?
The band will continue to tour for as long as they choose. The reason why is because there are enough people out there who still think that Jon can sing and will continue to support the band during live shows.

Maybe if all these people were more critical of Jon's vocal performance, he would get a strong hint to start singing the way he used to. Get a vocal coach or whatever to get his voice back.

I have no doubt that he can still sing, it's just his voice that's giving him problems. Whoever thinks his voice is still great, needs to pay more attention to the music than just Jon's looks.

Look, I can understand what you are saying about Jon's voice, as I think it has changed also throughout the years. But don't generalize people by saying that those who think Jon sings great are only paying attention to the way he looks. There are guys/girls out there, who couldn't care less about his looks, that will tell you what a great singer he is. Myself, I think sometimes he sounds great during a live show, but then I listen to the bootleg and cringe at some points. Now look at Bruce Springsteen. One might say his voice is average as he isn't the best singer, but he is an awesome performer and this is what helps him to sell out shows. Jon is the same way, and I don't think it will ever get to the point where the band won't perform anymore due to Jon's voice.

I agree that Jon seems to be struggling with vocal problems. Going to multiple shows, I noticed his voice was stronger at performances where there was more than one day between performances.

Excessive smoking, caffeine, and age related atrophy all affect vocal chord tension. Which in turn affect vocal quality. This kind of damage if not addressed, could be permanent. but, I don't think hes going to give up coffee and cigarettes...

Yes, I agree with Seb here. For whatever the reason, Jon just doesn't want to really "belt" the songs the way he did during the These Days tour. But, I remember hearing after the These Days tour that he had strained his voice again. I think maybe Jon is somewhat fearful of damaging his voice and so plays it safe when touring now. And I have to say, I have several bootlegs from the Bounce tour and many of them Jon's voice sounds quite good. Continental Arena, Chicago (March 2003 show), Charlotte, NC , Kiel, and Giants are a few examples where his voice sounds quite good in my opinion.

Yes, his voice still sounds good and rough if he really screams. But he just can't sing very high anymore. For example I believe in Bremen 2003. He screamed his ass off and had major problems singing the "oh oh", "yeah yeah" at the end. He even shook his head a few times cause he realized it doesn't work anymore.

His voice is nowhere near where it was in KTF and TD era. I don't think it was a conscious decision to preserve is voice. It looks to me like his voice can't handle the strain anymore so he started singing the songs in a way that takes less effort. This was noticable on the Crush tour. He started singing lower and sometimes sang through his nose. I can't describe it but it sounded weird, like he was mumbling the lyrics instead of singing them out loud.

Surprisingly his voice picked up for the OWN tour in 2001. The shows were much better, he seemed more relaxed too.

Bounce tour was the worst of all. I've seen loads of video bootlegs and there was a noticable change, not just in his voice. I got the impression that he was just there to do his job, not to enjoy himself. His voice was getting worse and worse. The last few concerts he had trouble even singing in key.

If the last webcast is a sign of what is to come, then Bon Jovi don't have a bright future. Aside from the backup band with their crappy playing, Jon had big problems singing in key. It was sad to see him perform so bad.

I know people get older, I'm just sad I couldn't see them live when his voice was in top form. I know most of you won't agree with this but I think Jon should be honest enough to admit he has problems and finish his music career. That way most people would remember them as a great band. If his voice continues to get worse and worse the band may find themselves playing in front of half empty venues.

I still hope his voice somehow miraculously improves but I'm beginning to doubt this more and more.

try not to compair it to what they used to be.. and you'll see it's nto as bad as u make it seem
