I can live with this "old voice" now.
But as someone said before, at some shows in 2003 it looked like he's just doing his job on stage, like Gelsenkirchen for example.
Well I hope this will change when they have no troubles with the record label anymore.

OK the bon jovi performance evolution....IMO the the first thing comes to mind is the quality of their performance....during 1986 they were at the top and they had so many power inside that you can feel they felt themselves such of GODS....they broke it big so they really enjoyed what they did....of course the were YOUNG AND HUNGRY....so i really don't understand why if you before jumped during a guitar solo right now just because you are 45 you don't do it anymore....it's just 45 not 60!!!i think bon jovi really had great time and did great job until 1996....from crush tour till the bounce one, yes of course they are great but....,they just became less dynamic and less "rock n and roll band"..............
they guys really can play, richie sounds as good as always, tico is just as he was back in the '80s and so david....about hugh...ehm...i don't like this grandfather.....jon of course has big trouble with his voice and this is A REALLY BAD THING but i think it's not just because his voice IT SEEMS TO ME HE DOESN'T LIKE IT ANYMORE.....of course he is a SUPERB PERFORMER but i think it isn't enough anymore...............

i don't think they should stop just because jon's voice but or they change into a pop/country/acoustic rock band or they really have to KICK JON IN THE ASS!!!!!!!!!!

well

I think nowardays the band is managing its success and trying to have some fun... yes it's true that their performences have been better... but above all I think they still have a blast on doing live shows... Hyde PArk last year was awsome, Munich is said to be pretty good too... and as to being inventive, last tour they started doing acoustic performences, showing that they have not run out of new ideas to make the live experience the best part of the Bon Jovi world.

Above all, i think that a band with 20 years, that have done it all and succeed as much as these guys did, hasn't much left of new things to try .... I'm sure the new tour (hopefully next year) will bring new surprises and who knows... they might "shake" a bit their regular show, as to the set list, as to the stage, as to the performence itself. Bon Jovi has never lacked on surprising us... In 95 they put a 3 hour show with a 3 song acoustic set in the middle. In 2001 the "Empire State building" was brought to every city they visited...and tracks like homebound train, wild is the wind or living in sin were once again played. They even ressurected Raise your hands.
In 2005 I 'm sure they 'll give us plenty reasons to smille and to keep believing on these 4 guys from Jersey.

Ups.... where I stated:

In 95 they put a 3 hour show with a 3 song acoustic set in the middle.

I meant 1996, not 95.....

Where is the variety in a show having the Empire State Building as stage? Don't get the point...

Which is what every big band does when they're doing a new tour.
