From a few minutes ago:

Fun gig last night. Thanks Texas! Getting back on the jet to head home. Not gonna lie... #IAmTired

It probably was a Jon solo gig.

As far as who Mark Cuban is - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Cuban

Both.
I'd add, meeting more influent and rich people in order to get them to know to his projects... That's what I think.

My guess would be that it's mostly about the Soul Foundation. Either the money paid for him to perform goes into the Foundations coffers or he plays at events like these as paybacks for charitable projects already undertaken, or for ones about to be. Mark Cuban is the very wealthy owner of the Dallas mavericks, a professional basketball team here in the US. They won the NBA title last year.
