Shit! Twat! Bastard! Change the setlists PLEASE! Well, atleast they“ve dropped the "... then let me hear you say OH JEAH!..." from Sleep. Hope Richie sings IBTFY later also. Cool stage by the way... Satellite dishes....

Heyho!

I totally agree with thierry!

There are some songs I really can't listen to anymore... they are good, but it's enough! Play some older stuff, some stuff that hasn't been played LIVE that often!

Songs wouldn't delete form the setlist are, for sure:

- Livin On A Prayer
- Bad Name
- Wanted
- Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
- Lay Your Hands On Me
- Keep The faith

Please keep those:

- Wild In The Streets
- In these arms
- Wild Is The Wind

And there are some songs, I would be happy about, if they wouldn't be played:

- I'll Sleep When Im Dead (This song is sucked out... aaargh)
- Bad Medicine (Though it's a real good song, I don't like it that much)
- It's My Life (Well, I never liked this song... was played too often at radio Stations and so on...)
- Born To Be My Baby (Yeah.. I don't like it LIVE... stop it)

So why not playing some of these songs?

- Dry County
- I Believe
- These Days
- I Want You
- Burning For Love
- Runaway
- Blood On Blood (with Rock-Intro)
- I'd Die For You
- Living In Sin
- HEY GOD!!!
- more Richie Songs (Rosie, Hard Times...)
- Stick To Your Guns

+ BOUNCE-Songs

So... my favourite Setlist is:

01. Lay Your Hands On Me (Classic Start with Drums...)
02. Hook Me Up
03. These Days
04. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
05. Wild In The Streets
06. Żou Give Love A Bad Name
07. Everyday
08. Just Older
09. Hard Times Come Easy
10. Blood On Blood
11. I'd Die For You
12. Keep The Faith
12. Undivided
13. Misunderstood
14. Wanted Dead Or Alive
15. Runaway
16. In These Arms
17. Wild Is The Wind
18. Joey
19. Stick To Your Guns (with Ride Cowboy Ride before...)
20. Livin' On A Prayer
21. Hey God
22. I Want You
23. Burning For Love
24. Bounce

If I'd be at a concert with this setlist, I'd be satisfied forever!

I totally agree...DON'T they even get bored with some of those songs...!

Esp BAD MEDICINE AND SHOUT....

I WAS THRILLED THEY MIxED IT UP A BIT IN BRISBANE AND DID BLOOD ON BLOOD AND UNDIVIDED....

songs like IN THESE ARMS and SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN are definetly underated and I think should be played more...and OMG what about WILD IS THE WIND.

Not every show just every now and again....

Remember though this is just one show - i think as the tour goes on we will see some specials slipped in (remember RUNAWAY IN ZURICH?)

THEY WILL NEVER NOT PLAY PRAYER OR WANTED but I do agree there are some other ones that are really overplayed and predictable.

some great news though - RICHIE SANG I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU...

I was even surprised they did BAD NAME at the vh1 awards...

wtf?!?! Been there done that, now get a new closer for the show! I don't think it's cool to end your concert with a cover song, especially one from the last tour...

Raise your hands was a definite bonus, that's so great! And there were loads of the songs that I like hearing live. And Richie's I'll be there was a surprise, a pleasant one! It wasn't a bad set list, not just a very surprising one...I have to admit that it's just getting to be the same old basic set with little variation tour to tour...

Not that I'd miss any of the 7 shows I'm going to next summer because of this... No way! But the set list of the first concert says a lot about what the rest of the tour will be like...

I find myself nodding while reading this thread. I love the band and would be rapt no matter - but have to agree that it would be great to hear something different. I don't think it's so much that it's the 'same old same old' [speaking for myself here] - more that because there are a lot of the songs in the set list that get an airing very regularly, it would be great to hear some songs that don't often get played - perhaps have never been played.

My fav. set list [or one of them..they'd be there all night if I put the first one I write down here] is:
1. IML
2. Runaway [original version]
3. These Days
4. Hearts Breaking Even
5. 99 In The Shade
6. Keep The Faith
7. Silent Night
8. Hook Me Up
9. Save A Prayer
10. Living In Sin
11. Misunderstood
12. Medley : LOAP/I Believe
13. Stick To Your Guns [with Ride Cowboy Ride intro]
14. Good Guys Don't Always Wear White
15. Wanted
16. I'll Be There For You
17. Hardest Part Is The Night
18. Neurotica
19. In These Arms
20. Medley : Let It Rock/Social Disease [OR: Medley of say Rosie/Destination Anywhere]
21. Medley : Always/Stay [ sorry Chris...I love Always]
22. If That's What It Takes
23. Everyday
24. Bounce

..and that's probably about 6 songs too many, but that'd do me

S.

You have to ask yourself, dont the guys themselves get bored of playing the same stuff? Songs like Bad medicine/shout, ISWID BTBMB etc, the set has had the same backbone for years (although the these days '96 tour was their best without a doubt) and I know if it was me I'd be getting bored!
They've so many songs, especially at this stage,so they can well afford to shake it up a bit.
As for the arguement about the fans, the majority of fans who go to see the band would know enough about them to appreciate a change of set. Think about it. For example,if someone got into their music after Crush came out and went to see the following tours, they would see for themselves that the set has mainly the same broad outline, and would'nt neccesarily go see them this time round. The OWN tour far exceeded the Crush tour, however alot of songs stayed in the set from one tour to the next.
The band pride themselves on their live performances, and rightly so,and at this stage in thier careers they dont need to impress anyone (by that I mean critics etc),so come on,shuffle the pack a bit,not just for us but for yourselves too!!!

When I go to a Bon Jovi concert I want to hear the songs that are Bon Jovi. We did not start loving the band because of Bsides and songs buried on albums but because of the great rockers like Bad Name and Bad Medicine. And did you people ever stop to think that maybe the BAND likes playing these songs. Did you ever look at Tico's face during Bad Medicine, he looks like he's having the time of his life! Come on people, the majority of people want to hear the hits, not obscure songs.

I;m not talking about b-sides,they have 8 studio albums for Christ's sake,I'm sure they could fix up a half-decent set minus all the usual without having to play anything 'obscure'!!!

Totally agree!!! I'm sick to death of hearing Shout....and Twist and Shout has already been done. I was very suprised to see I Got The Girl in the setlist as this is one of the worst tracks on the album and isn't that good live. Although you love the old favourites...I think they have so many good tracks to play around with. Let's hope they change it for the better!!

I'd have to agree with the majority. It gets tiring hearing the same old songs all the time. The setlists/songs seem to be getting as stale as a loaf of sliced bread that has been out too long. Why not shake things up a bit and add some missed gems from albums past, and lose some of the very predictable(not the staples) tunes?Throw out the Twist & Shout medley and try a different, fresh new one. I believe that would please the old and new fans alike. After all, it's great to embrace the new fans, but why alienate the longtime fans with same old setlists?
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Just my thoughts.
