Default initial look of bounce setlists

I Dont mean to put a dampner on the start of a new tour meself but i agree with all thast been said so far. obviously its great that the jovi are playing the new bounce tracks but how about being more diverse and adding in some these days (perhaps the title track itself or the superb something to beleive in), and too some more ktf. im sure the majority of the fans could do without tracks like captain crash, i got the girl, shout. at the minute this tour just seems to be the crush tour all over again but with a few songs from it substituted for the bounce ones. lets hope the band see discussion forums like this and listen to their fans. BUT ONE THING PUZZLES ME, HOW CAN THEY LEAVE OUT UNDIVIDED??!!?? lets just hope jon just forgot to add it to the setlist, being the first gig and all, must just be a bit rusty......

The setlist are beginning to become predictable.
"Become" predictable? No, they've *been* predictable, for several years now, sad to say.

It's possible to recognize that they do practically the same set list every year and still enjoy it. Yeah, it's apparent, and yeah, you wish they'd change it, but the show's still good.

Truth be told, more people are recognizing it now because more people are going to multiple shows, and because they've toured three times in four years.

I really do not understand how anyone can complain about getting bored at their concerts! If ya love Bon Jovi, then enjoy the moment you get to see them. I could care less what they sing on stage, I'm just thrilled that I get to see them. Any other band does the same thing. They have a regular setlist for most of their tours, with a few changes every now and then. They are playing the songs that turned us on to them! You complainers need to grow up!!

I do listen to them, thank you. I just choose to enjoy what I GET to hear! I'm not taking them for granted, unlike some people.

I don't think anyone's taking them for granted; it's reasonable -- and true -- to say that they've done the same basic set list since 1992.

Maybe it's just because I have only been able to go to 1 concert----#2 is in Feb and I can't wait. I just don't understand how people get bored with a setlist, when you only get to see them how ever many years. I guess I don't get bored. Just my opinion, I guess.

Keeping in mind that most people at the concert PROBABLY haven't seen the band several times (or know every album intimately), it's safe to say that they DO want to hear the hits. A few of their other choice songs off the albums is nice but people like to hear songs they know. There are songs I'd love to hear them do live but would never expect it in a stadium setting.

Do they get bored? Probably, sometimes. Can you imagine how tired Elton John is of doing "Rocket Man" and "Bennie and the Jets?" Can you also imagine how disappointed the audience would be if he DIDN'T do them? Or Aerosmith and "Sweet Emotion" or "Dream On?" (you get my drift...)

That being said, something new would be nice. I'm probably in the minority here, but I LIKE a couple fun cover songs put in the mix, because 1) It adds to the "party" spirit, and 2) It shows that they aren't taking themselves too seriously. I don't know what you saw in the crowd during the OWN tour, but when they did "Tequila," and "Twist and Shout," I saw EVERYONE on their feet, dancing and having a ball. (Again, the PARTY atmosphere.) I would like something new, though... It's more fun when it's a surprise. "Shout" could go and it wouldn't hurt my feelings. I'd love to hear them rip out an old Elvis tune like "Jailhouse Rock" or something similar...

I think "I've Got the Girl" could go--it's a nice song and sweet that Jon wrote it for his daughter but one of my least favorites. I've never been a big fan of "Born to Be My Baby" so I wouldn't miss it. I'm not crazy about the studio version of "Bad Medicine" but it is a lot of fun live. Personally, I think "Bad Name" could go but of course would never expect them to do it--too many people want to hear it.

And "Wanted..." well, it IS their anthem. It would be like seeing Aerosmith and not hearing "Walk this Way."

But as someone said, it's early. Maybe there will be some surprises. I plan to enjoy myself anyway. I have to remember that as much as I'd like to pretend differently, they aren't playing just for me. I'll never get my ideal set list but I am sure happy I'll be there to enjoy the fun. Lots of fans don't even get that opportunity.
