The Top 20 Concert Tours ranks artists by average box office gross per city and includes the average ticket price for shows in North America. The previous week's ranking is in parentheses. The list is based on data provided to the trade publication Pollstar by concert promoters and venue managers.

The average gross and ticket price are for all the shows in 2008. So far this year Jovi is number one for North America. Not sure they will hold that ranking though once the summer concerts start and a lot of tours start up.

Again, the figures quoted are an "average" for each show not the total. And the figures are GROSS so that's not taking into account all the costs with putting on a show as well as the portion that will go to the promoter and Uncle Sam!
