I remember the shows at Giants 2001, there were pyro during KTF and at the end of the shows and it was just awesome! Super cool

I love pyro.. but it gets to a point where it become cheesy and predictable. I don't think they should bring it back unless it can be done classy the way they do from time to time with Keep the Faith. I loved it in Bad Name back in the day, but bringing it back today wouldn't go over the way it once did. It can still work in Prayer though.

Bon Jovi really isn't a pyrotechnics band. They used it in the 80's because it was a tool of the trade at the time and due to their target audience (teens.) If you were a top selling hard rock band in the 80's.. it was expected that your show would have explosions/special effects. The only exception I can think of was Def Leppard, who traded up pyro (which they did use on the Pyromania tour) for lasers and an in-the-round stage. I think the latter may have also played a deciding factor to not use any due to safety.

Speaking of lasers.. as much as I love them I was never impressed by the Bounce tour lasers. I should have been considering the variety of colors and the fact they used the same guy as Pink Floyd did on the Division Bell tour, but they just didn't seem to translate very well.

The last tour show really nailed it as far as I'm concerned for a band like Bon Jovi with the screen pulling you in and keeping you focused on the band.

Lol you're comparing the biggest psychedelic rock band that everyone gets high while watching to a Bon Jovi. Two completely different concerts. Both brilliant in their own respects - But it's like comparing Hockey to Basketball. They're both sports, but just different.
