On a German forum, rumours have leaked that the ticket prices for the first rows should range between 800 and 3000$ for this tour.

I'm seeing a lot of negative feedback about prices. I'm thinking this might be a bit if a flop tour? Half sold shows, pretty much all the front rows empty? Haven't seen the prices for my self, but heard some ludicrous prices

The front rows will be filled. If those don't sell, they'll upgrade cheaper tickets before the show to fill them up. There's no way they'll allow empty seats close to the stage.

People love to crap on artists for high ticket prices, but I disagree. If those were cheap, then each show would sell out immediately and much of the profit would be collected through secondary markets. I prefer that the artists get the money instead of the scalpers.

At the end of the day, the market demand decides what's the real value of those tickets and, as others noted, they will fill those seats eventually, either via upgrades or other special deals (plus, the secondary prices also go down if the sales are slow), so it becomes a patience game for both artists and fans.

Could Bon Jovi (and other major artists) sacrifice their profits to make the shows more accessible for the lucky fans who manage to get tickets in the first minute before they sell out and leave money on the table for scalpers? Sure, but I don't blame them for not doing it. Especially the older artists who in this economic climate aren't earning much from record sales.

Its the only way to show these bands that we wont pay silly prices. In the end they will end up slashing the prices or give them away.

BJ and Bryan Adams dont need the money so youd think prices would be reasonable.

Last year I paid 150 euros for a Bon Jovi show and,on the other hand,I paid 50 euros for a Bryan Adams show.
I was,at both shows in front row.
BA show was miles better than BJ show.
It is all about a business where you play music just to earn more and more money,or,playing music because you love it and the business is not the main reason and its in a second place.

Does that mean Bryan Adams just doesn't charge more for front row? That was certainly not the case for me and his tickets cost the same as Bon Jovi and just about every other band (general admission).
