So would I. I live in a big house in New Jersey also - but if I had his money I would live in Manhattan in a flash. Once of the reasons I came back here to Jersey myself was so that my kids could grow up near New York City. I'm only about 20 miles away. Now that my kids are all mostly adults they love that city - but they say it has spoiled them for most other places.

I would think that perhaps Jon's wife might like living somewhere else for a while rather than being buried in suburbia. She might actually see more of him too since he probably spends a lot of time in the city.

I would think the move is just about giving the kids a more diverse world to live in and a change of pace for he and Dorothea. And if I'm not mistaken the two older kids are both in a year where they would be switching schools come fall anyway, one to high school and the other to middle school.

I know if I could have afforded it I certainly would have moved my kids to NYC at least for a few years, there really isn't a better place to see the diversity the world has than there, plus all the amazing cultural things available there.

The 'usual' kind of run hasn't included Australia properly for 12 years now, so Australian fans, don't get too excited yet, please!

If it is actually true for once, it is an interesting time frame for me, as I am aiming at returning home early/mid February.

Still, I am happy to wait and see without getting sold yet on this latest gem from JBJ.

Why don't they do a bigger tour at the same pace??
Granted, it would takle a longer period of time but, they'll go for the markets that haven't seen them in a while.
Instead of doing 80 in a year why not do 130 in two year or a year and a half??
Who needs an album a year anyway??

Yeah but like Richie said prior to the HAND tour: They have to look at the economical side of their shows too. Going to the markets that havnt seen them in a while would create a risk of not makin enough money that the band is in urgent need of. so they play it safe. Poor fellows, they just havnt earned enough money during their career plus Jon needs some cash for his new 26 Mio NYC penthouse...

However i have my theory that tours will get longer again once their kids are older...Tico will be about 65 years old by then and the band can pretend its their last tour everytime they actualy go out touring and then just hit the road again a couple of years later.

I seriously can't see Tico playing long tours when he is 65 years old.
That's why I think BJ won't last that long.
