Wow... and here I was last weekend doubting IF I would go to see U2 in Brussels. Was thinking of waiting for BJtourannouncement, see which concerts I would 'choose' and then make my decision wheter I would go for U2 or not....

THANK GOD I changed my mind the day before the presale started.. I did by tickets for U2 and now I'm f*** glad I did!
Can't be bother seeing BJ at the moment anymore!

oh yeah - U2 tickets were only 55 euros... !

I take it these are Fan Club booking fees?

Silly question, but why do you pay £33 extra to get a seat through the fan club?

To be fair though, the U2 show I saw was a pretty shit show and wasn't worth anything more at all!

I'm not 100% sure if they are FC Only Booking Fees, Mike. I think Lee from here paid rediculous prices for Booking Fees also via Ticketmaster. As far as I can see, you pay the extra to be at the front. From what I have read however, the only way to get into the 'Inner (Gold) Circle' is to buy outrages prices and purchase VIP Packages (Between £500-£1300), where you get meals, signed programs, someone to show you to your seat, unlimited drinks and best of all - you get to keep the seat you sit on!

Booking fees from Ticketmaster were £15 on a £200 ticket - that was for a seat 8 rows back in block A2 (assuming the row starts at A) which is 7.5% which I think is standard on all Ticketmaster tickets.

So if anyone does decide to part with the money, sounds like Ticketmaster is the place to go (never thought I'd be typing that).

Sounds like the VIP package is for those that want a once in a lifetime experience, although i guess you should meet the band for that price.

Agreed. mine were £35 but was possibly the worst show by a band of that stature I've ever seen. Bono should spend his cash on some singing lessons rather than a big fancy stage.

It's usually the management that signs a deal with e.g. AEG for the entire tour, they don't see the actual ticket prices for each show unless they specifically want to, and I guess they're not interested in that, hence the high prices. Just my guessing of course.
Bruce Management seems to have a closer eye on things like that, bless him, so they make sure their ticket prices are sensible.

It will be very interesting to see what the Paris show ticket prices will end up at.

As for charging £15-48 booking fees, that just extortion in my book.
