Default Boston tickets being sold for $12.50

Special deal now through the 20th on Ticketbasterd. That can't be a good thing if they're selling seats so cheap. And with Kid Rock opening. That's pretty sad.

The touring industry seems pretty fuked right now! Christina Aguilera had to cancel a whole tour due to ticket sales/promoter issues, Rihanna is cancelling dates left right and centre and now we have 'highest grossing touring band in 2008' selling tickets for $12/£6! Whether it a sign of the times due to coming out of the recession I dont know but I do think it definitely shows people aren't liking the new pricing system which seems to have been adopted with 'gold', 'diamond' etc it's quite a shame! Most musicians talk about playing live being the fun part of the industry yet the fans are being robbed blind and the fun sucked out!

I love gigs, the atmosphere, the thrill and obviously the enjoyment of live music yet the system has got to change.

Why is it not possible to select 12,50$ in the dropdown list?

Out of curiosity, which section are the 12.50 seats in? Are they high? I assume so, but making sure, as maybe some of the other people I'm road-tripping with might go for that price themselves.
Anyway, agreed that this is a bad sign, on the band and the touring industry.

Maybe they should make the initial prices a little more realistic then. I really hope they're learnt this lesson for the Euro shows next year, but looking at the Oz prices, prob not.

All the bands, promoters and venue managers need a good kick in the ass so that they can adjust the prices that will best serve the people that actually want to attend the damn shows!!!

This doesn't look good, from any angle you look at it......

For all the anger about the pricing structure, we can all be glad that fools paying for VIP pacakges are, in effect, subsidising the nice people who get reduced price seats!

Apparently, they already sold all the $12.50 tickets. Now they have some $25 ones. Don't get me wrong. They've sold a lot of tickets for this show. The floor was sold out until they opened another section. The entire 2 lower levels of the stadium are sold out. It's just the upper section they're having trouble with.

Noone wants to sit in nosebleeds. That's why they have "trouble" selling those seats sometimes. The stadium will be full, and is probably 80% sold out at regular pricing. Chicago night 1 is sold out according to TM and night 2 appears to have some available. It'll sell out as well at regular pricing. The whole "sales are bad" fascination around here is wierd. And the reason the band charges what they do is because if they had tickets priced lower people would pay ebayers & "brokers" the higher prices. I think with the band charging what they do, the ebayers etc....are not able to get a whole lot more than face value despite the listed price on ebay. Prices drop dramatically as showtime nears. Ex-Chicago night 2 has a ton of Pit on ebay, all dropping almost daily. Alot are about $1100/pair USD and dropping. Face was about $800/pair.
