Taylor Swift sold out the very same stadium last month in about 10 minutes - Literally.

What does that tell you?

I'm just saying, poor ticket sales can't be blamed soley on the concert industry. There's got to be a reason she sold it out and Bon Jovi (with Kid Rock) can't.

Believe me, I wish it wasn't the case, but it is.

Same reason Miley Cyrus sells out -- screaming pre-teen girls. Taylor Swift opened for Keith Urban at one of the shows I went to last year. I had to take refuge in the concourse during her set to get away from the eardrum piercing squeals. Time will tell if she has staying power, but for now, that's a huge part of her audience.

Whatever reason it is, it is.

Someone else mentioned it too: Lets see where she is in 25 years. How many bands with 50 year old singers (or bands that have been around 20+ years) "struggle" with ticket sales like Bon Jovi does? U2, Stones, Bruce .... I'm sure I'm missing a few. I mean, how many stadium headliners are even around even this summer? (In USA atleast) Bon Jovi ticket sales are through the roof.

Well about the Taylor Swift thing... Bon Jovi has oversaturated the market, but anyhow, I was reading on her tour just the other day. She did not sell out any stadiums. I can't remember what the deal was, but all of her shows were a festival style event, all the tickets were cheap, only a certain number of seats were released... etc, etc. Really... the article was about her "sold out" shows and the concert industry. Lilith Fair... Jonas Bros... and so many other tours have been canned b/c of low sales. Bon Jovi is fine and sell, as a whole, better than pretty much anyone by the sheer number of shows they play. They play too much in the same area and each show still eventually is full.

This article appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution yesterday - http://www.accessatlanta.com/atlanta...-a-573482.html

Quibbling about whether a show is "really" sold out or cutting prices in order to sell the less desirable tickets in a large venue are problems that most musicians touring in the U.S. would love to have right now. In the grand scheme of the industry at the moment, Bon Jovi is doing just fine.

It tells me she's a phenom riding that quick wave of popularity. Do you really think Taylor Swift will be selling out or even playing stadiums in 20 years...or 10...or 5? I guess time will tell.
