Bounce tour 2003 UK leg.
Ok i posted this on another site and thought i'd post it on here for you to read!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ended up going to 5 shows, lucky me! Dublin, Glasgow, Wolves, Old Trafford and Hyde Park in the end.
Dublin was a last minute thing as i got the flight and ticket the monday before the show (show was the friday) so the flight cost me £140! But hey it was worth it! Got to Dublin on the friday went for a look around and then decided to go to Lansdown Road. Got there, was told we'd get a wristband (my friend wasnt in the fc so i qued GA) and be down the front! I dont think ive ever been to a show where i've had so much ease at queing as to Dublin this year! We were let in and got wristbands etc, and decided to sit at the back of the pit until BJ came on. Even when Live were on we stood and watched at the back of the pit. The pit was half full which i thought was fab! Jovi hit the stage, jeez, september was the last time i saw them and i savoured each and every minute! The highlight of Dublin for me was These Days, i just stood there in oar of the whole song. The atmosphere through the whole show was absolutely cracking as JBJ looked like he was well up for it! After the show we went for a drink in an Irish pub somewhere and headed to the airport, we slept at the airport also! Can you imagine 30hrs with no sleep! We didnt have any sleep until 10am when we got home!
Next up was Glasgow, this was a different matter as we had seats. We travelled up on the day, getting a bit jolly on the way, passes time! We got to Ibrox and had a look at merchandise (what a rip off btw) Bought a programme, got one of those flashing badges where you filled in some form for something, cant remember what it was for but hey you got a free Bounce flashing badge! I think they cocked up Gold seats at Ibrox as we ended up somewhere where we shouldnt! But hey its nice to watch a show from the stands! Highlight of the show was Joey esp with the long piano intro! The show ended and we had to wait for a few mates, went back to the hotel got a kebab (as you do) and stayed up until what time i dont know running riot in the hotel!
Next stop, Wolves, we had Gold tickets for this so we got there at 3pm i think (again my mate didnt have fc so i qued normal gs) What a mess this was! 1 que formed, then another que formed so it wasnt fair on people who had been there longer! The show, cant remember too much of the show as it wasnt great, my mate Mike ended up on stage though! Not much to say about Wolves. Met a stack of people after the show though.
Old trafford! Oh jeez, we left my house to go to Bury, got to Bury and was told we're leaving at 2am! So that was sprung upon us! Got to Trafford at 2.30am! Oh dear, are we mad! Didnt have a sleeping bag, had to borrow me mates one and was freezing! This will be the first and last time i sleep at scum u! It was a good day though, well worth camping. Got in Trafford, 2nd row behind the usual people who get let in first! Who we qued with got front row out to the side! Anyhow, we heard the people in front talking about going on stage and guess what they ended up on stage! So me and Carli ended up front row by chance directly in front of Richie! Jeez, that was the best thing! Well apart from him posing for a picture for me and Jon pointing and saying i'd like to thank you and you and you etc to me also! The atmosphere where we ended up was so good, i'd do it again! And then it ended We went for a kebab afterwards as well!
Final stop Hyde Park! Originally we were camping out, but friday night prooved to be a major sore point! We arrived at the park at 10.30am chatted to everyone and got sunburnt! In we went early entry this time which was cool. Everyone sat in the pit as well which is another good thing! Talking away to Mike and Carli, eating melted jaffa cakes what more could you ask for! I tried to get messages up on screen but wasted my money it seems! We stooed up and ended up 4th row directly in front of Jon! Atmosphere, terrific! Everyone was buzzing! Hyde Park was awsome and the whole day for me topped it off! Jovi came on and it was like wow, speechless they topped the whole day off nicely! These Days again at Hyde Park was sooooooooooooo good, i love it live, everytime! Got a smile off Jon this time! Ending with Never say goodbye was a good way to end the show. But it was sad to end!
We left hyde park and my mate Rebecca asked what was wrong as my face was like it was really sad as it had ended, i remember cardiff was also sad too in 2001. I want another tour and i want it now!
Oh dear anyone who manages to read this well done
