If you go to
www.ryanair.com then you will see that plane travel unbelievably cheap in Europe. I got a return from London to Verona, Italy for 40 pounds including all airport taxes. Is your friend in the industry the same one who told you that the cost to put on one concert is millions of Euros? Just remember the words of wisdom of Jackie Chan in Rush Hour: "I like to let people speak who like to speak, that way I can find out how much full of bullshiit they are".
