I would say that any compact camera would be fine.

Only SLR Cameras would be dodgy (these are cameras like the paparazzi use or professional photographers would use) If you dont know what a SLR camera is, the chances are you will not have one.

My tip is, if you are going in with somebody else the security only seem to check bags that you are taking in, try and fit camera in a pocket or something as this will not be checked.

Hope this helps and enjoy the show.

By the way. the flash prob wont help at all as you are so far away, even up close wont really help as a flash will only work by eliminating things and bouncing back to the camera. as the flash wont reach say 10meters wont make a difference. would be better with no flash as you will pick up the stage lights better.

Cheers

Rich

It's not a SLR. The ability to record is what concerns me. It says "mpeg movie" on it 2 or 3 places. I don't typically carry a purse or bag in with me to these things. It's just more to hold onto. But, I may have to make an exception in this case. I will think about it over the next week. I was thinking about carrying it in, right out in the open! LOL I mean, my motives are for my own personal use. (And all of yours--) ahem.

I'm not close to the stage so I doubt I can get much high quality but I just want it to keep as a souvenir

Thanks everyone for the advice and ideas.

More is welcome, of course
