Firstly, unless you're in the first three rows -- try to avoid using the disposable camera. The only time I used a disposable camera that actually produced quality pictures was when I saw Poison in 2002 and was 3rd row to a stage that was eye-level and not elevated.

For Jovi shows and other shows that I would like high quality pictures, I always try to sneak in my Minolta Freedom Zoom with an 150mm zoom lens with Fuji Superia X-tra Film (that is specially made for dark settings and fast movement; ie, concerts). Thank God -- it's worked pretty darn well so far. And as for security guards yelling to turn off the flash, I ignore them. That flash, in most instances, is imperative for a good, bright picture. Especially when you're trying to get quality shots of Richie, who doesn't receive nearly as much spotlight as Jon.

Hope this helps all of you. Good luck, and happy photo snapping!

I use most of the time a 1600 asa film.
My pictures are great, most people say they look like profs, so I am really proud of them!

You got your pics up on any website, Marijke? Knowing how you're always on the front row I'd love to see some of your pics.

LOL :P

Actually krb, for once I was making an honest question to someone I've had my share of disagreements with. It's naturally up to her to decide if she wants to answer my Q or show me any of her pics.

With this day and age of scanners and photo editing proggies tho, I think it would be a shame if someone who obviously has tons and tons of awesome front row shots of the guys still wouldn't care to share their pics, even if they could be copyrighted and the right-clicking could be disabled with a java script.

Erm, I know the tensions that exist in this area, but I had to reply -- Marijke sent me about 3 envelopes of her copyrighted pictures while I was compiling a photo album section for Bon Jovi's 20th Anniversary Book. I know about the stories that have erupted in the past regarding the fan pits, etc. and don't want to delve into that mess, but if the pictures Marijke sent me were actually the ones she took, they're absolutely beautiful and appear to be professional. Ack. I hope I didn't stir the pot here
