I'm just saying this in case someone asks you "do you want a lift?" and you get confused.

Thanx.
We also say that here. Although, asking for a lift here in Belgium is mostly seen as. Taking someone with you who's standing by the side of the road and usually you don't ask money for it.

When it is more organized and you are willing to pay for it, we use the term Carpooling. I saw the same terminology on the website of Slane.

So anyway ...
Can we get a lift from Dublin to Slane and back? ( Cost splitting of course)
