With the delayed announcement, I've basically forgotten about it. I'm to the point where if it happens, great. If it doesn't, oh well. It would be nice to see them for free though (even if it is a standard set)

Standard set or not - Jon sounds better than he has for ages - which is why I'd really like to go. I keep checking the BS board to see if they are announcing anything also

I agree with you Kathleen. I'd love for this to actually go down because it would be another opportunity to see the band while they are on top of their game but I have somewhat resigned myself to the fact that it might not happen so I won't be as disappointed.

About a week ago, I got an invitation for a party on July 12, one that I really should go to. I WOULD skip it for the show, but I really can't put it off much longer.
Garden shows will probably be better anyway.

If they do central park, then that will probably be there dvd instead of msg. They have to make money somehow and it's not everyday they play a free show.

The show wouldn't be "free", it's being sponsored, which means BJ wouldn't be losing money.
I think the DVD will still be filmed at MSG.

Damn straight, Brian! The press conference announcement was made on WPLJ this morning according to Backstage. I'm listening online now, but I haven't heard them mention it yet. Unfortunately, I'm working at the Reference Desk at 4:00, so I won't be able to listen.
