Default cheap (!?!?!) hotel in Dublin

Can anyone recommend a place to stay for the 19th and 20th June in Dublin? Are a lot of fans staying at any particular place where there might still be rooms? I am used to booking hotel rooms online but this is driving me crazy! I can't find anywhere at a reasonable price with availability.... so far!

Thanx Jess. I know Dublin isn't cheap but ALL the places I've found have been really really expensive. In 2001 I stayed in a hostel with friends.. think it might have been on O Connell street, that sounds familiar.. anyway I don't wanna do that again! Will try those #'s

Its gonna be very hard to find somewhere to stay. The special Olympics are on at the same time and everywhere is booked out. Well thats if you wanna stay anywhere near Lansdowne.

I booked back in November and Im staying out in the Travel Lodge by the airport!! They are fairly cheap out there.

the website is www.travellodge.co.uk
They are €75 per night thats per room though.

yesssss, I found somewhere, I have booked the Ibis... anyone staying there? It's cheap so it might not be a great place but it isn't a hostel so it'll be fine lol I'd almost given up and then I found it, had to turn Mr Sambora down to concentrate on the booking LMAO :P

Thanx Leah Rose I did look at that site too, how are you travelling back after the show? Are you driving? I'm not so I worried about the distance.

I am staying at a B & B called The Old Dubliner...it's just off O'Connell Street and it's right near the train station that goes to Landsdowne road. It's quite cheap...£35 pp per night. Not too sure if there are any rooms left but you can check.

Good Luck!!

I wanted to get somewhere as close to landsdowne as possible. Travel lodge is so far out so I think I will ring those numbers that Jess left to see if I can get somewhere closer.

My friend who is coming with me is driving.

Hope you found somewhere Leah I have 2 places reserved, one that is far away and cheap and one that is near and expensive lmao, now I have to decide! The place that cost more is called Kelly's Hotel if you are still looking, it was £75 a night I think.
