well the way he has been lately its not to surprising.....you dont want to sing like shite in front of 50,000+ people....though i feel bad for the people not getting 100% before Giants
Same happend for the whole UK leg of the Bounce tour, with exception of Hyde Park he was 100% over there.

this , i believe is my first post after visiting this sight for a while and i have to comment on the show. this was my third bj show and was the worst. i didnt think that they were that bad. i took my fiance and it was her first show. i love hearing bj acoustic but i thought as did those around me that it was too much acoustic and shouldnt be in the begining of the show. john, something seemed to be off with him. he seemed to be angry and not wanting to be there or that his mind was somewhere else. this could be because the crowd wasnt used to having one of the biggest bands in the world sitting down and playing acoustic for the first 45 minutes of the show and after the first few songs wanted to hear the band electric. i still love bj they are one of my favoritest and cant wait to post more often.
also my fiance loved the show.

Wow... looks like a short set and since there were technical problems and Jon was having trouble with his voice, I'm glad I didn't fork over the funds to fly to Cincy.

I doubt he's "saving his voice." The Giant's shows are still several days away. Everyone I know who has allergies has been MISERABLE this week. We're all suffering with sniffing, sneezing, coughing, sore throats, itchy burning eyes, etc. I talked with a friend who lives a hundred or so miles Cincy this week and her asthma has been giving her fits. The atmosphere is our enemy. This summer has been like no summer before for allergy sufferers.

I can understand him being off on some of his cues and marks as far as lyrics if he was really having monitor problems. But during Bad Medicine he wasn't even attempting to sing the High Bad Medicine part. He just let David and Richie take it or just held the mic to the audience. Which isn't unique, it's just he did it every time. Oh well, it's over now and our money is gone. Hopefully everyone will get their moneys worth. I've seen 5 shows and this was the first one that was less than 100% awesome. 80%ratio

If Jon is suffering from allergies, why doesn't he do something about it? I mean as soon as the season started, I went right to the doctor and got myself some medication to help. Jeez, the man can hire an allergist to tour with him for goodness sakes. :P

Sometimes general medication doesn't help--even the perscription stuff can only do so much. Top that he has allergies with his traveling, so he's in different environments with different allergens. The things that are the worst in one part of the country are different elsewhere, so unless you prepare for every allergen you could possibly encounter, it won't do any good to have an allergist on tour--you have to take shots for quite a while to build up an immunity. There are some things to which you can not build up an immunity and exposure to them will only heighten your sensitivity. This has been an extremely bad year all around. So many people who've never had problems are complaining now. Those of us who have chronic problems are finding our usual stuff doesn't help.

I am telling you, Flonase is a God send. My allergist told me instead of shots, try this everyday, and it works wonders.

with all his money, there has to be something he can do. fair play to him though, he doesn't blame poor performances on anything, he just gets out there and puts a better show on the next time.
