Default Clueless

This is probably a stupid and obvious question, but I can't figure it out....I've noticed that on some of the Setlists for the HAND tour a song called "Treat Her Right" is on there. I've never heard of that before so I thought I'd look it up to see which of the albums it's on, but I can't find it anywhere! What is this song? Is it an actual BJ song or was it someone else's?

It's a cover song. A "Jukebox" song according to Jon. The band likes to perform a couple covers during the set.

Why would they play a cover song as part of the encore? Sorry if I seem dumb...I've never been to one of his concerts!

It's a song by a guy named Roy Head. Otis Redding covered it and had a hit with it. It's an old soul standard.

THEIR concerts. It's a BAND, not a man.

Made famous by Otis Redding and written by Roy Head
It was a well known rock and roll song of the late 60's
**edit** Sorry Ice - I didn't see that you had already answered

OTIS REDDING - Treat Her Right Lyrics

[Originally by Roy Head]

I wanna tell you a story
Every man oughta know
If you want a little lovin
You gotta start real slow
She's gonna love you tonight now
If you just treat her right now

Squeeze her real gentle
Gotta make her feel good
Tell her that you love her
Like you know you should
So if you don't treat her right
She won't love you tonight

If you practice my method
Just as hard as you can
You're gonna get a reputation
As a lovin man
And you'll be glad every night
That you treated her right

Kathleen

It's a fun party song.. makes ya dance...and the crowd seems to dig it. I was just listening to it today and like almost every cover they do I like Bon Jovi's more than the original.

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Most Bon Jovi shows have had some kinda cover tune in at, either during the main part of the show or during the encore.
Twist and Shout and Shout were played a lot, currently "I Won't back Down " is tossed in prior to hearing HAND.

Hopefully you can get to a show and you will see.
