Default Columbus show that never was

So I bought tickets back in November, for the Columbus show actually they were my birthday present. I've counted down the last 3 months until the day of the concert. On Saturday the blizzard of '03 decided to hit, and the roads got really bad. Sunday comes(day of the show) my friend who was supposed to go, wasn't allowed, but my mom and I decided to go anyways. What a great friend I am, oh well I'm the one who worships Bon Jovi. So my mom and I drove 1 1/2 hours to get to the show, were 15 minutes away, and my mom freaks out and makes us turn around and go home. She was afraid the roads were going to be too icy on the way home. Yeah 15 minutes away from the greatest concert ever(my 2 favorite bands are Bon Jovi and the Goo Goo Dolls) and we turned around and went home. I was shaking I was so upset. What a birthday present, I swear we were so close I could of tasted that concert. The worst part is everyone keeps asking "so how was the concert" yeah it was just wonderful. I really wish they would of just postponed it until a later time. Oh well, as is life I guess. So for any of you who get to go to one of their concerts(during this tour) enjoy! And hope the blizzard of '03 doesn't hit the day before.

Didn't you put up any resistance Sara? the money you lost on petrol and the tickets - you could have stayed in a hotel and still seen the show...

bad luck there ! oh and hello, welcome

Ahhhh...sorry to hear that. What a let down.

Tell your mom she owes you one, and you guys should fly to Jersey for Giants in August. At least there will be no threat of snow that day.

15 minutes? Oh, that bites. I'm so sorry. I wish your mom had let you just get a hotel room for the night.

Sara,
I feel your pain! My friend and I were supposed to go to the Columbus show too, driving up from KY and staying within walking distance from Nationwide Arena...but Sunday morning weather reports kept us from hitting the road. I guess we should be lucky that we're safe, but it still stinks, especially since you were so close! Sorry you had a bad birthday, though...I agree with Mousebounce--no snow in August!
