They also had a song with rihanna. Disgusting.
Dude I appreciate opinion, and I ain't their biggest fan, but you can't doubt their success with album sales and massive attendances in concerts. That many people can't be wrong.

Just because tonnes of people like it doesn't mean they are good.

Granted, They're one of the best live bands i have ever seen. they take live music to a whole new level.

In the world of current music a lot of people like them. They have massive success. They are hugely succesful so they ARE good.

Stop trying to justify that you hate the fact that Nickelback also have massive success and subsequently are good. Most people on here detest them but they HAVE to be good at what they do, otherwise no-one will buy their album.

Coldplay have plenty of upbeat songs, and as a live show they are in the same league as modern day Bon Jovi easily.

Andi
Really? They mix up their sound every album and are continuing to grow as a band.

Live, they are perfect. Yeah, they don't dance around the stage and try to bring the audience in with a lot of crowd interaction, but they don't need to because they get their message across by giving it their all on stage and leaving nothing behind.

Oh, and they write a variety of different songs.

I'm not sure if you were joking with me or not but I'll defend my Monkeys, damn it!

I saw the arctic monkeys open for the black keys. I knew 4 or 5 songs and still thought they were dreadful live. They stood there as i watched then wreck their music live and then walked off the stage while barely saying a word.

"dancing" around the stage and interacting with the crowd is over half of what makes a live band for me.
