Should have pulled this train wreck when Tico was taken ill.
I know. I thought he sounded immense at Manchester and even on videos, he still sounds it. I can understand the whole being at a concert and not noticing, but how could you not notice those bum notes?

Not saying he didn't do it at any shows I went too, he did a couple of times but not like that. He sounds so weak.

Mate, they were awesome, have you seen them before? Massively fun show, this was the sixth time I have seen them in a little over 2 years. Phil X was in the crowd at this show which was awesome, I tried to make a beeline for him at the end of the show, but he was gone. I had a meet and greet with Steel Panther before the show as well, they are all massively short which surprised me, they broke character in the brief chat that we had which was cool.

Anyways, onto Jovi. Must admit I was a bit underwhelmed with my lack of enthusiasm leading up to this show, but I was very impressed by the end of the gig.

I know people don't really rate Kid Rock much but I have been a fan for years. Really enjoyed seeing him, I would love to see him play a full show as there were a bunch of tracks I wanted to hear which he didn't play (Bawitdaba, I Am The Bullgod etc).

I thoroughly enjoyed Bon Jovi, and am now an unashamed Phil X fan. He really brings so much enthusiasm to the stage, and maybe it is 'cos he was banging his head around a bit and I was caught up in the moment, but he seemed to make the hard rock songs actually sound like hard rock songs again, rather than the slowed down, watered down versions I have heard on past tours. When Jovi were rocking, they actually sounded heavy which is not something I had experienced with them in along time...

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously, but JBJ announced that they had given Phil X a "Slippery" pendant. I must admit, I wouldn't be shattered if Phil X became a permanent member of the band in place of Richie. I love Richie, but his heart doesn't appear to be in it anymore and Phil X looked like he was having a ball. I know, I know- RS had a hand in writing the majority of the hits and has been in the band for 30 years...but, y'know, if I make 30 years of marriage and then a younger, more enthusiastic woman showed some interest towards me, I'd dump my wife for her in a heartbeat. OK...poor analogy and I wouldn't really, but I do like Phil X!

Overall a great night. Also, they didn't do that little dicky, cringeworthy move where they start marching towards each other when playing "Work For The Working Man". That's a win.

Yes, that is a poor analogy, lol!
