I'm pumped for tonight (albeit it $35 seats haha) and more so my home city show in Perth on Thursday.

Side note - after the show there was a long cue of people outside the ticket gate purchasing tickets for tonight's show.
So far all the reviews from those at the show have been great. Those videos sound completely awful but it obviously didn't come across live.

Very true. And I actually feel sorry for Jon thinking of his voice. Like I said in my review, I honestly thought he was gonna pass out during sleep/bad medicine medleys at how much energy he was putting in. If his voice gives way what more can anyone do? It's not like he isn't giving it (nearly) his all.

If majority of people had a good experience last night then that's a job well done by Jon and the band.

I can't help but laugh at the people saying Jon should cancel the rest did the Aussie tour. That is the lost ridiculous comment. Not only is it a stupid suggestion because most people had a good time, but could you imagine the uproar but the general public AND users here at Jovitalk?

What the hell have I just watched/listened too?

Never heard Jon sound this bad.. ever! During that press conference, he certainly didn't sound ill so he either has the worst luck ever and gets ill while performing or he just can't sing anymore and I think I will go for the latter.

'In These Arms' was absolutely dreadful. He was so out of key, it was a joke. Was that the longest break he has took to try and get that high note at the end?

No idea what has happened to his voice. I have been watching a lot of performances from 2008-2011 recently and his voice is in a totally different league to what it is now. 2008 it was outstanding. It declined a little again during 2011 but it was still 10x better than what it is now.

Setlists and vocals are shocking. The sooner this tour is over, the better...

I sorta agree mate and i know its all about being there before u can judge it . Ive been to 60 plus jovi shows and have loved every one and am happy to fork out big bucks but if he is gonna sing like that on sat nite in Sydney . I would rather they cancelled and get my 800 dollars back . Going by the clips i saw from last nite (and im hoping im wrong) that is not worth 800$

Is any Jovi show worth 800$? I love the band and love the shows I go too but I don't think I'd ever pay that... Unless I won the lottery maybe.

Jon did not let Phil sing an AC/DC song again?

a friend who is a huge fan - backstage member and all - was not overly impressed with the show. She said the crowd was crap and it felt safe and mainstream.

I was so hoping for an amazing show and Jon to be on fire. My gut instinct about not getting tix was correct. First time since SWW that I have not been excited about a Jovi tour here and that sucks It's just not the same vibe anymore. Don't know if I feel angry or just sad. Hopefully a nice long break, they regroup (with Richie) and get to go out on a high, not fizzle out like it feels like now.
