I was quite impressed with Diamond Ring myself. I quite enjoyed it. Was the first time I had heard it live as well.

It gets old hat for people who go to 5+ gigs on each tour and end up hearing the song each night.
For those of us who to to 1 gig on a tour, and have always gone a night when a song such as DC hasn't been played, then yes, it's a really special moment the first time you get it.

One thing that bugs the crap out of me, though, are those people who just don't bother clapping or cheering. Why bother to attend a concert if you refuse to clap, even after a song has finished?
The guy in front of me had obviously been dragged there by his wife - who spent all night taking selfies and updating her Facebook page. He couldn't have looked more bored if he tried.

I admit to dancing around, fist pumping, waving my hands, clapping and cheering and everything else. I had a beaut time. Within the first half of the show I was knackered and I had barely moved from my confined space between at least five people. My legs ached, my arms ached and my ribs hurt from singing along to every song. Others were dancing and clapping, but a lot of people were standing around looking like they'd rather be somewhere else.

Diamond Ring had a lot of people sitting in their seats. I admit I groaned inside a little when I heard the opening lines of this song, as its one of the songs I loathe, but I actually enjoyed hearing it performed live, and even sang along a little.
Wanted is another song I detest, but I love hearing it live.

The people behind me sat in their seats during the slower songs (DR, MAK etc) and I remained standing, and I don't think they liked it. I was blocking their view of the big screens and prevented them from seeing JBJ, who they kept pointing at all night.

One woman behind me kept looking at me and whispering to her gal pal I don't know if she was talking about me, but from the way she looked at me, I gather she was. Don't ask me why. Perhaps she was pissed off that she didn't recognise half the songs.

My mate attended this concert too, she was in the Platinum section, and she says that a woman there was bitching because she couldn't see, and security actually moved her seat so she had a better view! The seats were tied together so I don't see how they could be moved, but apparently this woman was moved to a position where she could see, but others couldn't. I guess if you bitch enough you get what you want.

So yeah. If you are going to stand around and look bored, don't attend. If you are not going to have a good time, and cheer and clap and raise your hands when expected (such as during the song RYH) then don't bloody go. And if you are going to bitch and whine at other people (who have paid good money for their seat) who are standing up and clapping and having a ball, then stay home in future, because you must the most boring BJ fan in history.

Totally agree with you Makedde. I can't stand people who come to a concert and don't get into it...they shouldn't bother coming. Its partly an Australian thing as Australian's are conservative and do not express their emotions at concerts. I have had this discussion with lots of worldly friends who have attended concerts (of all genres) overseas and agree with me. Australians sit in their seats and stay quiet, even at tween pop concerts like Pink in Sydney. I recall JBJ telling the crowd at the SFS concert in 2010 to "get out of your seats as this ain't TV". Bruce Springsteen did a similar thing at his concert earlier this year.

Pffft. What a narrow, tunnel vision point of view.

I don't give a rats ass if you dance or just stand there. I'm there to enjoy the concert for MYSELF. I'll do what I want, when I want for the ticket I paid for.

Granted, I do act a bit silly at concerts - but really? You get mad at people for enjoying their concert in their own way? Should someone who is not comfortable dancing dance anyway? Of course not. If people want to take selfies, do as you wish. Their money, their ticket, their experience.

People don't have to dance, but standing there with your arms crossed, yawning, and refusing to applause after a song has finished? Really? Why pay all that money if you are not going to look remotely interested?
I don't mind if you stay in your seat, but don't stand there looking like you would rather be somewhere else.

Honestly when I'm taping concerts I don't clap either. Aren't people allowed to do what they want at concerts.

I'm always pissed off by people discussing their whole week(end) at a concert. Have respect for the artist and at least pretend that you are listening.

The only reason you aren't clapping Thierry is because you're so drunk you can barely stand, not to mention sing, clap, or anything else...

On a slightly different note - any good clips of Shook Me All Night Long in Melbourne? Or all of Sleep When I am Dead...

That was the last time in Hyde Park indeed LOL .

There are tons of videos of Shook Me All Night Long on YouTube. I saw it on Phil X' facebook page.
