Listen to the interview....you are wrong...

P.S. they are doing Rock in Rio 2017
I only put in the link. Maybe they have already decided to do more shows possibly because the album is selling well. I said I thought they would have to decide before those dates were over. But Jon has definitely made it clear there will be no more 240 date tours.

If it is true that JBJ was waiting to see how THINFS was received and it selling very poorly in the UK, god knows what we will get in terms of tour dates. Hopefully they were scheduled already.

Just a thought... "British Summer Time Festival" (The old Hard Rock Calling festival) based at Hyde Park has the Sunday slot free at the mo! Could happen?

Even on the 2011 European tour a lot of stadiums didn't sell out. Barcelona 2011 had a LOT of tickets still available and a lot of empty spaces. Sure, they always say it's a sell out, but we all know the truth behind that. In 2013, they played for half-empty stadiums there. I wonder how big Jon's ego really is. Considering that he wrote the line "my voice is shot" for the new album, maybe he'll do the right thing and play arenas.

Even though a lot of the stadiums won't sell out, it is still a LOT of people so I doubt they'll be downgrading to arenas anytime soon. Especially now since Jon seems so sure the tour is gonna be shorter so, that means less stadium date = more of a chance to have the same amount as 2013 or maybe even more on some dates. Either that or we'll see them headline some festival dates alongside their own dates on some smaller stadiums or fields....

I think we can preview that Hallelujah will be in every set list from 2017 tour now.

Sad news...

Anyway, I love Jon's rendition of Hallelujah. Don't know if he still able to do this, but tha MSG version is mind blowing.

Look even further back, when they were still popular. In 2008 their ONLY Spanish show was highly anticipated. They hadn't been in Spain for 5 years!!!! I guarantee you the stadium was not completely sold out, it was pretty packed but still some room in there. They had done arenas for the Bounce tour and 2 shows then, all sold out if I remember correctly. The numbers have been disminishing for a long time. A stadium tour seems highly improbable now

Easier to cover up smaller numbers than in a stadium, plus you can get a strong support line up to bolster sales too.
