Like Jon said once, there are albums that does better in certain regions. I guess this is the key to how they're still successful. These Days bombed in the US but was huge overseas, Crush did well in the US and not that great outside US, Bounce bombed in the US but produced two big hits for them in the Latin America (Misunderstood and All About Loving You).
I would almost agree but....the popularity is dropping. If there was a few regions the album was absolutely smashing the charts then yah. Usually if it does good in Europe and not the states that's fine but it bombed in both. They went from 5 sold out shows at the ACC in Toronto to 2, not a peep is being heard on radio.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I have the impression that the Canadian market is similar to the US, where the Bon Jovi content in the line of It's My Life and Have A Nice Day is much more preferred.

If that's the case, maybe the audiences are expecting this kind of content from them. In LH, TC, WAN and THINFS, the label adopted different themes for the singles (even though IMO the albums stayed using this 'I'm gonna live my life' cheesy line).

I actually haven't seen much demand anywhere yet. Neither here, nor on German fan boards. Of course a few fans are always longing for it, but in comparison to the past albums (even What About Now) there is close to zero demand. Maybe it's different in other countries, but the overall hype for tour dates has died down.

That's not far off. We had the newer songs on the radio pretty often up until WAN. I worked at a radio station when that one came out, It was a Hot AC station. We played Born to Follow pretty frequently but no singles past that. We're pretty much on par with how they are in the states but maybe there was a bit more excitement in Canada for them. There was maybe 7 shows for the Lost Highway tour in Toronto? I'd have to look, there was one tour that got a lot.

I know Misunderstood did better in Canada than it did in America, big time. I think the world absolutely expects the pie eyed optimism of songs like Its My Life and in my opinion it's absolutely creatively hindered them.

I didn't see this article posted anywhere in the forum, so placing it here.....it's an interview with David and Tico talking about prepping for the tour.

The Bon Jovi Tour kicks off Feb. 8 in Greenville, S.C., with shows scheduled into April. More dates and other territories will be added.
