I don't know which private schools you are talking about but the ones I attended and the ones my friend’s kids attend where the tuition varies from 20-40K per kid. I was referring more to the Pingry, Wardlaw, Lawrenceville, Peddie and Pennington schools as examples I was thinking of in my original post. There are scholarship kids but the tuition is paid through the scholarship. If the funding for the scholarship goes away so does the student with the scholarship.
Parochial schools are different sometimes depending on the area. They will vary depending on ability to pay but that is then subsidized by the diocese or parish. I wasn't referring to Parochial schools as their financial set up is different and as you know in NJ even then the diocese will only fund so far until they will shut down a school because they are not bringing in enough tuition. That is why many parochial grammar schools and some high schools closed because the enrollment went so low, they were not brining in enough tuition. Not because the Alumni support or fundraisers were doing bad.
Private schools in general are struggling because of low enrollment.

Fundraisers are held to fund the scholarships, arts, extracurricular activities and trips, they go on some really nice trips. Bruce does do an annual fundraiser but the school is not in Red Bank and it is done to raise funds for extras at the school, not academic programs. Actually the last one I know of was done this time last year, don't know if he is doing on this year. Also the school Bruce does the fundraiser for existed long before he started doing fundraisers for them and the school that Bruce pulled his kids from and no longer does fund raisers for continues to exist with no problems.

I only know that because I have the ability to read and retain information. Jon has said it many times in interviews since his first was born. I didn't bring up the birth of his children Supersonic did.

You're right. All this graduation talk and of private schools is detracting from the real news here: the fact that Bon Jovi will be performing in more places that they have long neglected.

You know very well it's you who's being the gimp here, I just gave random examples, you took it literal and had to spout off that you knew he was present at the birth of his children. It's this thing figure of speech, yet you take everything so literal. Let me rephrase; He went on tour knowing that his child could be born any time now, yet he went away anyway.

You neglect several others make around here just to get your point across even though the initial point you were or are trying to make has been unraveled by me and several others every time you attempt to do so. Whenever someone gets to the bottom of your case and makes it obvious you were wrong you throw in another piece of random information to try to get some distraction. You fail to answer questions asked about your points and then try again in another topics.

You're the one bringing up all this drama regarding the Israel dates, bringing in being an American, bringing in "anyone knowing anything about customs in America" and more drama just to make sure that Europeans don't know more about your country than you do, even though it's been proven various times that you're very misinformed. Proven by Europeans ánd Americans. You've got no idea of how to retain information. Where's the reply as to what customs have to do with Bon Jovi not being able to play Israel a week before Europe? Where's the reply of you getting into how private schools ARE being funded by private donations? Instead of stirring up more shit it'd be nice if you'd finish what you started here, because as for now you're coming across as the typical patriotic American who has no clue about what happens outside of the bubble she lives in.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

What would be ideal here would be for a second Australian leg, considering A) Indonesia/Vietnam/Thailand are so close to us and B) the Aussie tour was so succssessful. :P

Lol seriously though, I hope they do visit the places mentioned in the OP for the sake of the fans. Fingers crossed!

And it is just possible that someone outside the country MIGHT know something about our customs. Interestingly enough there are some well educated people from other countries.

This is an international board, not just a board of New Jersey Bon Jovi fans.
An example of a closing private school:
http://www.nj.com/news/local/index.s...hool_clos.html

Enrollment is low is the reason, which means they didn't have enough tuition coming in to run the school. So if the enrollment was higher and they brought in enough tuition, they would still be open. The schools operating budget was not funded by donations but tuition, which is why they had to close. In my original post I was not taking into consideration Parochial Schools but that is actually easier to show with the number of parochial schools closings or consolidations with schools nearby due to declining enrollment and less revenue from tuition.
An example of a private school slated to be closed but is now staying open:
http://www.nj.com/news/local/index.s...stay_open.html
Increased enrollment saved the school, increased enrollment = increased tuition = operating budget to run the school.
Do donations/fundraisers help with keeping tuition down in some places, to fund arts, trips and in some cases sports but they are not the mainstay of any operating budget. Tuition is what runs the schools.
There are lots more examples too.
So where is the error?

I am well aware there are intelligent people all over the world, never said there wasn't. The reason I started reading this board was because it is an international board and I find some posters very interesting others not so much. I actually didn’t bring up any of this crap up in the thread. The only thing I asked was about where the confirmation of UAE and Singapore came from.

Sorry took your random examples as fact, thought you were trying to make a point.
Generally speaking those of us trying to make a point use facts when giving random examples not just spouting off.

Ok I'm going to try again to answer your questions even though I have already answered them. Also I didn’t bring this up in this topic, I’m only responding.

Graduating HS is a huge deal in this area and parties are a bigger deal. Private prep HS in the area graduate the first weekend of June. I don't see Jon missing the graduation and all the festivities of his oldest as it is a big moment here in the life of a child. Being a senior also has Prom besides graduation- which is a mega party in this part of the country, no HS gym, or eating out in a restaurant here and then going to a dance. It is a huge party held in Catering Halls/Hotels with a sit down dinner and band or DJ and then even bigger after parties sometimes with destinations such as the beach or into NYC of course all in a limo.

"Where's the reply of you getting into how private schools ARE being funded by private donations?" Please read above in other posts.

So did I miss answering any of your questions?

I find this a bit odd TBH. How many tickets will they sell? Are they really that popular in these countries? Am I being a bit naive but I can't see them selling that well there.
