Question Coventry - Ricoh Arena

A question - exactly how is the public transport user supposed to get to this arena? It looks great, fairly new but its alongside a motorway and seems to be some way outside of Coventry. The local train station is said to be Bedworth but that's a couple of miles away and I can't imagine they run many trains around midnight.
Just being greedy, would like to do two concerts instead of just one (Manchester).

There are plenty of Buses leaving Coventry City Centre for the Ricoh and on football match days they have a special bus service that runs every 10 mins to the arena. i am sure they will operate a similar service next year. Bryan Adams is on there next week so I will see what service they use for that and report back.

Bon Jovi to play the Ricoh
Sep 20 2005
EXCLUSIVE by Dayle Crutchlow

Bon Jovi, one of the world’s biggest rock bands, will perform to a 40,000 capacity crowd at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena in a massive coup for the new venue.

The American superstars have picked the new stadium in Rowleys Green as one of only five in the UK they will perform at next summer.

And the home of the Sky Blues won the concert from local rivals Aston Villa.

Aston Villa bosses had hoped to welcome the band at Villa Park before Bon Jovi representatives saw the Ricoh.

The £113 million stadium now joins Wembley, the City of Manchester Stadium, St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, and the National Stadium in Glasgow, as one of the “big five” to host the legendary rockers.

The show, on June 7 next year, will be the first open air gig at the venue following on from Bryan Adams’s indoor concert this Friday.

Paul Fletcher, chief executive of the complex, said: “We can’t wait to get one of the world’s biggest rock bands here.”

Standing tickets for the event are £50.

Hey ther dude!, ye btw its fine u addin me on msn n' stuff....

yea it would be awesome for em to play at the Walkers Stadium, I know someone who works their and Bon Jovi did approach them in order to book a gig for the Walkers Stadium and they had a date penciled in for them, but that was last year, and unfortunatly that tour never happened in the end as they decided not to go through with it...

but yea a gig there would be awesome, mostly just because its like 20 mins away from my house, lol
